We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Calandra's celebrating our wedding rehearsal dinner. We booked the "Wine Room" for our party, and it was absolutely lovely. It felt like we were eating in a wine cellar in Italy. Our server was kind, courteous, prompt, and attentive, striking up conversation throughout the evening. The food was absolutely wonderful. Salad, Cavatelli with broccoli and sausage, chicken franchese, eggplant rollatini, and the best cannoli cake I've ever eaten. Our guests are still raving about how excellent the food was! Couldn't have had a better experience, and we will use them again for family events. Loved it!

After numerous trips to Calandras in Fairfield, Which by the way is fabulous with everything including atmosphere and food is off the charts delicious! We thought we'd try the one in west Caldwell. Well, never again. The bread came out cold, the pizza was soggy, the meatballs were flavorless and the sauce it was in tasted like a can of tomato sauce. The. Chicken piccata was fine. Nothing overly delicious but not bad either. The prices were high. You don't mind to pay when the food is good, but it was not. And forget the atmosphere there was a party going on, just ending and kids running all over the place and all the DJ knew how to play was some kind of club music. Stay away unless this is the type of stuff that you like... bad food and bad atmosphere.

I never take the time to review ,but I have been to every deli in NJ . How is it possible a pre made sandwich with no meat is $18 ??? the bread is cold and hard since it's sitting in a chilled cooler pre made ...and this is a bakery who's bread is good in the supermarket??? I should have known since it was empty at 12:15. also no prices on the board ! I also got a grilled chicken broccoli rabe and mutz . Again you don't see any chicken , and this is $18?? If it was good I would understand but it was not. Unbelievable!

I had my baby shower here and wow this place is top notch. From the delicious food to the service and the atmosphere, everything was perfect. My party had nothing but good things to say about it. If you have an important event coming up, I highly recommend this place! Side note- their tiramisu is out of this world, best i’ve ever had by a long shot.

We do the family meal deal several times a month, oh my goodness do you get your moneys worth! Such a plentiful amount of food and for a good price. You won't regret it. So my faves: rice balls app, penne vodka pasta, Caesar salad and main we have done almost all the options: top are the chicken francese, chicken Marsala and salmon. The wine is an additional $10 so don't sleep on that. And when you pick up get dessert and pretend you cooked the entire thing yourself. Win win

Service was awful. Got my “to go” order and dessert menu before receiving our entrees. Had to ask about our entrees twice, as they came to take our dessert orders! The menu was limited to a customized holiday menu with mostly fish. The chicken dish I ordered was fried & the chicken had a slight taste of fish. Was surprised there was no pasta entree. Had to ask for check twice. Was quite surprised and very disappointed as I was really looking forward to having dinner here.

Calandras is a top choice when visiting my Mom in West Caldwell. The food is excellent and the service dependably efficient and friendly. The dining room is always nicely decorated and, of course, visiting the bakery after a meal is an essential part of the trip. Wonderful place which I highly recommended.

You have to do the Thanksgiving Buffet. The food was phenom, cocktails amazing, service so good. My little guy who never eats was able to try from so many different things and lived the deserts. Great for families with toddlers who need to be fed quick and get in and out. He stayed for the full 2 hours. Great experience and will be back next year!
