“Service was excellent. Friendly and accommodating staff. The food is outstanding and Love is very consistent in the quality of items they prepare. Excellent Caesar salad that had a very light dressing, for entree they prepared a succulent taste pork chop which was cooked to perfection. We all know how hard it is to cook a pork chop and keeping the tenderness and moist interior.“
“Amazing restaurant! Beautiful place. Excellent staff, from hostesses through waiters and support staff. Everyone was attentive without going overboard. The food was beyond excellent and both my GF and I are cooks, so that says a lot. Creative selections. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Great drinks and desserts, too. It's wildly expensive, but well with it for extra special occasionsDietary restrictions: They ask up front regarding any allergies.“
“My server was so friendly and I appreciate her recommendation to get the eggs Benedict. That was the best eggs benedict that I had in a long time. The home fries were cooked perfectly but the green peppers were a little undercooked. I enjoyed my experience and will def be back!“
“Vegetarian perspectiveReally only one vegetarian option. However, it was good and I liked the vibe of this place. Very unassuming from the outside but busy inside! Service was great, impressive drink menu. I got a sour beer and a cider. The dessert pear donuts were amazing too! Vegetarians/vegans, just make sure to check the menu ahead since options are very limited.“
“Food was excellent and our server was lovely. In the beginning, service was outstanding, but then we were abandoned when our dinner arrived. Would have liked to try dessert, but after finishing dinner and being ignored for 20 minute, we gave up.“
“The food was exceptional I ordered the kitchen sink, the board crème brûlée French toast Mac and cheese and rib rolls. Loved it all but the rib roll needed a touch of salt and was a little dry. Overall service was great waiter literally stood waiting for eye contact but it was def a vibe o and they only accept cash but atm in front.“
“We had the best valentines dinner! The restaurant is cozy and intimate with amazing service; it was also awesome that we could BYOB! After some fluffy potato rolls, we split the buttery striped bass. The family style meal (complete with sides!) tasted like the perfect, elevated meal featuring humble PA ingredients. LOVED trying all the different pickles!! Thank you for a very special meal! We will be back for tea service :)“
“We made a 7 man reservation at 9pm for I and a friend’s birthday. We enjoyed a chefs tasting menu since it was so late and, from that, I can say that every dish here is made exceptionally well. Every morsel of food was an amazing experience and a blend of complex flavors. The pasta and protein was hearty and cooked to perfection, and the desserts were phenomenal. The fusion of savory and sweet is utilized masterfully at Chez Hansi, in a way I’ve never never experienced before. I ofttimes had to look at the kitchen in shock, since I couldn’t believe that the meal was coming from one (incredibly skilled) chef in a home sized kitchen. This place is an experience, and anyone looking to have exceptional food should be excited to eat at Chez Hansi. Maybe even honored.“
“This place is fantastic! My boyfriend and I came here tonight for the first time. Our beer and food was outstanding. Izyah was our server, he is the best one we have had in a long time! Not only did he have multiple tables but a 22 top all while making sure our glasses were never empty. He was knowledgeable and has the best attitude. Thank you Yards and Izyah for the best night. It definitely won’t be our last!“
“Amazing would be an understatement! My wife took me here for my 42d birthday. The food, the cocktails, the staff, the views ? ugh the views forget about it! Can't thank my wife and Jean-Georges Philadelphia enough for a birthday I'll never forget!!“
“Thank you for your excellent service, my wife is a cancer patient and she’s in a very strict diet, the chef came over and made the changes to my wife’s meal so we can enjoy our 30 years of marriage anniversary dinner. They gave us complementary wine and appetizers . The great service started with the phone call, the gentleman was kind and helpful. I will definitely recommend my family and friends to this restaurant“
“It was surprisingly a wonderful place. I was a little leary when I heard the name, because I grew up in Kensington, & strived to get away from there as a kid, but now,.....now it's the new hip spot to be, & this place checked all the boxes of a place I'd like to have in my suburban neighborhood. Good food, nice outdoor dining space, I like how they kept a lot of the original inside from the early 1900's, slate floor & everything. I'd like to go back sometime.“
“We had George as a waiter. Fantastic service. The food was incredible. My wife had an excellent octopus. I had the wild boar. I haven't had such a good piece of meat since a trip to Italy where I had freshly culled wild boar in the small town of San Gimignano.Again, George made this night a great one. Thank you.“
“Am really happy to have this place in the neighborhood! Great little brunch spot. Went at 1030 on a Sunday and didn’t have to wait for a table - but started to fill up pretty quickly after that. Service was great. Casual atmosphere but still nice. Two of us got the huevos rancheros and would definitely get again! Coffee good. They special made a bagel breakfast sandwich for my kiddo. They also take credit cards which is always so nice! Would recommend and go backKid-friendliness: They have a small kids menu with chicken fingers and grilled cheese and breakfast items“
“Honestly, one of my new favorite spots in philly for strong drinks and good deals! Their happy hour is unbeatable esp the one on sunday. The service is amazing! We love Lo and Devin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wheelchair accessibility: They open up the door next door which has a ramp and connects to a door inside the restaurant.“
“I love this place. The food is excellent. I’ve really enjoyed the three different meals I’ve had there. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the extensive draft list. The music is a nice touch. Records are selected by the bartenders and played on a turntable. Definitely my favorite spot for drinks and food when we’re in the neighborhood.“
“The place is tiny and it can be cold (if you sit by the windows in February). The service was really good. We got the Brussels chips which were good but way too salty ( I would ask for less next time), the deviled eggs were good, the big salad with chicken was excellent and the Mac n cheese gnocchis were really good, the calamari & winter salad was good.“
“We organized a Bourbon tasting at Versi Vino for our clients a few months ago and it was a hit! The Bourbon selections, food pairings, ambiance, and service all received rave reviews. Our clients had a great time.Christine's expertise and insights on Bourbons were truly impressive.Booking the event was effortless and efficient, thanks to Tyler's prompt responses to all our inquiries. We cannot wait to host another event here!We enthusiastically suggest considering this venue for your next event, or simply dropping by for a delightful meal!“
“I've got a major girl crush on Her Place Supper Club. WOW, just wow! I'm in absolute awe of the dining experience I had last night. Truly a gem. From the music soundtrack, to the amazingly attentive service and all female staff, to the intimate dining setting, to the passionate chefs who took the time to ring the bell and explain every single dish in detail, to making every single person dining in that room last night feel so welcomed and last but not least, to the thoughtfully curated dishes and empty plates left behind begging to be licked - what an epic dining experience + one that both my husband and I will never forget. So happy Presidents Day (Monday) allowed me the opportunity to make it to a dinner during the week. EVERY SINGLE dish I tried, I absolutely loved. Not one bad item on the menu, not a single one!One Recommendation:Get all of the add-on specials, there is no 'going wrong' at Her Place. Try it ALL.Showstopper Dish: Chitarra w. ClamsA big round of applause to Amanda Shulman. Truly impeccable. I'm telling everyone I know that I love her and 'Her Place'.“
“Had a great brunch here today with my wife and 2.5 year old son. Great food, great atmosphere. I had a delicious seared tuna club sandwich. My son and wife also both loved it. She had the drive through chicken sandwich and he had the grilled cheese and they both really enjoyed (I stole bites from both and concurred). I had a very good Bloody Mary. Service was excellent. They had My Neighbor Totoro on one of the bar TVs which was perfect since it’s my son’s favorite movie (and one of mine as well!).Kid-friendliness: This place is the perfect place to take a young kid out for a meal while still being the exact type of place you’d like to go if you didn’t have a kid. They had all the thoughtful touches for kids (high chairs, crayons and place mat to draw on, kids menu) but without sacrificing the vibes.“
“This place is classic south philly. The Sausage egg and cheese was cheap and delicious. The bun was both sturdy and yet soft. The eggs were fresh fried. And the sausage was salty and fatty and delicious as it should be.The coffee was only mediocre. But this ain't a place for hipster coffee snobs like me.“
“last weekend was my first time and I CANT WAIT FOR THE WEEKEND TO ROLL AROUND FOR ROUND TWO! delicious food. amazing service. it’s honestly top tier. thank you!!vegan strawberry and chocolate cake were amazingggg!!! vegan potato salad, mac and cheese and broccoli cheddar soup like WOW!please give 25-45 wait time but it’s worth it!Parking: very easy to park. on the corner on both sides of the street.“
“What can I say other than, wow! Jansen truly is the perfect experience for any occasion: business dinner, date night, high end dinner with friends or an fun solo dinner. I had the pleasure of being served by John, with support from James and all of their wonderful staff. Outstanding meal, absolutely top notch service, thoughtful touches and a warm welcoming environment. Great job to all!!“
“We had our first dining experience at La Roma on 1/13/2024. The food, atmosphere & service was excellent! I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already. The attached images are the following:- Flatbread w/ buffalo mozzarella, roasted red peppers, tomatoes & balsamic glaze- Skirt Steak w/ garlic mashed & broccoli rabe - Salmon w/ garlic mashed & asparagus- Crème brûlée w/ fresh berries- Pumpkin Espresso Martini which was out of this world!“
“This is one of those humble establishments you stumble across that rivals a dining experience double or even triple the cost. From top to bottom, beginning to end, every single item was exceptional. I had the burger and fries + the key lime pie dessert along with 2 cocktails. A relatively straightforward order, but a very memorable experience. Some of the flavors were otherworldly, especially in the mezcal and tequila cocktails. There is also something special and cinematic about the ambiance. Somebody really put a lot of thought and care into this place and whoever it is, I salute you.“
“Cute spot for a drink and bite to eat. We loved the thin crust on the pizza, the cheese and fried onion on the soup, and the pasta. The drinks here are lovely too! We have had drinks at the bar and dinner at a table, and both were positive experiences. One thing to note is that the place can get fairly crowded and feel a little claustrophobic. However, if you are used to restaurants in NYC, you will feel right at home.“
“Tried the Ultimate Mexi Scramble from their favorites section of the menu and the Philly Hometown Omelette. The former had eggs, cheese, tomatoes, cilantro pesto and avocado. It tasted good, and they had options without gluten, which was great. The latter was disappointing to be fair. Another downside was the toasts, they were too leathery to enjoy. Despite that, the friendly staff and huge portion sizes make this place worth a try, especially if you need gluten-free options.“
“First time eating here with group of colleagues. Was enjoyable! We came during a day where it was a fixed menu literal table spread. We had the choice to eat with fingers or with utensils and we all opted to eat with our fingers. There's something enjoyable about being encouraged to eat our food with our hands. Obviously a messy meal but worth it. A garlic fried rice was laid on the table topped with vegetables and Proteins were chicken, pork and fish.Parking: 6pm Weeknight parking in South Philly. Enough said. I feel like if you're willing to park, say, 10 minute walk away versus being super close you will have better luck with parking.“
“Absolutely love this place. Been coming for almost a decade. Their chicken and waffles are a must. Just get the gravy. It's awesome. The eggs are very runny so keep that in mind. Local spot, laid back with a lot of eclectic artwork. I've ordered other things here, all good but chicken and waffles will always be my go to. Drinks are good. Fast turnaround on orders, chill friendly efficient service.“
“Helm was absolutely a fantastic experience from start to finish. This place is extremely cozy, nestled into the neighborhood of olde Kensington. The wait staff were extremely knowledgeable and the chefs are LOCKED in. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, and my lady and I will absolutely be back even though we’re moving neighborhoods. Helm is the bomb . Com.“
“From the moment you walk in, this restaurant is magical. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The staff are all pleasant and knowledgeable and the it feels like you’re at a friend’s house. Now…let’s talk food!Farm Omelet: perfectly cooked fluffy eggs wrapped around spinach, mushrooms and Manchego cheese. Absolutely delicious!Challah French Toast: warm, sweet crunchy crust and soft inside. It’s perfect. **They made sure to put the pecans on the side for my partner who is allergicIt’s now my go to place when I’m in Philly.Vegetarian options: Huevos Rancheros, American Breakfast, Challah French Toast, Avocado Toast, BYO Omelet, Salads, etcDietary restrictions: They are knowledgeable and will confirm all ingredients; also happy to remove an allergen IF it’s possible.“
“Truly one of the best restaurants in Philadelphia. I usually do not like to spend real money on food in this city as it is not typically as good as neighboring metropolitan areas, however this is an outlier. We shared everything. They started the service off with a small butternut squash soup with a mini bread biscuit, this was outstanding. Brussel sprouts were incredible with great texture and uniform chili coating. The fettuccine mushroom bolognese was delicious. We opted for both fish dishes that night, which were wonderful. Ended on a dark chocolate brownie with milk chocolate ice cream. All together a great dining experience, would recommend.“
“First time here and was very pleased. Nice atmosphere, good food and solid service. Server checked in on us often. No long wait for drinks and food came quickly after order (much shorter than expected!) Will definately come here again. When you go try the NE clam chowder and the mussles!“
“Came here for brunch on a Sunday and would definitely come back again when I'm in town! Such a nice aesthetic in the inside as well - we sat in the garden area which I LOVED - got the warmth of the sun.All you can eat breakfast for $35, which includes coffee, water, and juices (I personally loved the grapefruit juice). I appreciated that it wasn't just your typical breakfast spread, they had a lot of different options. Omelet bar, donut station, lox and bagels, tons of pastries, biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, tomato pizza, and so much more. The lox with capers and red onion, as well as the omelet (got everything in it) were my personal favorites. I went with a friend and we got a small bite of almost everything there, splitting everything to get the full experience of trying everything without the food waste. The only thing that was a little annoying was that there was a table decently close to the one side of the serving area which made it hard for more than one person to fit through at a time.Service was great; she didn't rush us out of there (we were catching up!) and always cleared our plates before we got back with our next dishes. Also made sure our water and coffee was always full.“
“How you give this classy restaurant anything less than 4.6 is impossible to understand. One of the best for its food and service on the East coast. Award winning chef creates dishes you don't try at home. All different and delicious. A joy and a treat to dine here !!“
“My first time ordering from this restaurant..I would give 10 stars if I could everything was delicious!!! Turkey bacon egg and cheese on brioche bun half roasted chicken with mac and cheese & side salad..shrimp blt!! Family could not stop raving about everything. Big portions and delivered hot!! A+“
“What looked to be a typical strip mall diner turned out to be a great breakfast. Very friendly staff, the French toast my wife got and my omlette were very good. Very generous portion of grits with my omlette... pretty sure this is the first time I ordered grits and didn't finish them because they gave me so much. Will remember next time we are in town.“
“Friendly neighborhood Mom and Pop run deli, call ahead to have your order ready for pick up as they can get very busy. Luncheon meats are cut fresh and prices are more reasonable than the supermarket. Have yet to try their sandwiches and hoagies but they seem to be very popular as they are constantly making them and always have plenty of orders for them. Be patient as it is only a 2 person operation so if you walk in you may have to wait a bit. They are a cash only operation.“
“The food is so good. This was my first time trying this place and I will definitely be back regularly. The restaurant is larger than it looks from outside, there is plenty of seating and parking was not a problem. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter and the baklava cheesecake. Do yourself a favor and order 2 of the baklava cheesecakes. I regretted only ordering one when I got home.“
“500 stars for the service! We were treated so kindly by the wait and cook staff--words cannot express how well they did! So considerate and personal. It is well worth the travel and parking hassle (classic downtown Philly)!Probably my all-time top place for exceptional service. Someone give these people an award!Great for a fancier date night or engagement celebration or post-rehearsal dinner drinks. Even a birthday dinner is a perfect reason to go - the staff will make sure you have the best night and make you feel welcome.*** Make sure you get your reservation. I made mine on the Thursday night before the Saturday we went and there were plenty of options for reservation times.Dress code is business casual or more formal if you want to get classy. Guys were in button-down shirts and pants; women had blouses or sweaters and slacks.Parking: Either plan to get there 30 min early to find parking or pay the high price for the parking lot about a block away.“
“We went as a group and the sweet and spicy pizza was such a hit I couldn't even grab a slice. The margherita and reuben pizzas were undeniably just as good and carried their own unique flavors. I like how light and healthy the margherita felt eleith its thin crust and tangy tomato sauce. The reuben pizza was such a savory hit for my palette I was taken over by the sour, tang, and saltiness of the ingredients. For entree, I was recommended the malfadine and it was irresistible. The way the creamy vodka sauce coated the surface of the pasta and the crab was more than appetizing.Service was good and ambiance was great.“
“Charming!!! 3 courses dinner with every day changing menu, intimate atmosphere and great service! On top of that it’s BYOB what could be better?! I highly recommend and would definitely be back. P.S. you might want to make a reservation ahead of time cause spacing is very limited.“
“Lucky 13 rocks.Clark is the best.Ask for a Morale Booster if you need a new drink idea.A great selection of draft and bottled beer. The food rocks. Mac & Cheese is amazing. The jukebox has the finest handpicked selections.I hear there is a rumor of this bar getting a helper monkey to scamper around and pick up empty bottles.“
“Great spot with good vibes. Plenty of seating and outlets. Drool-worthy pastry caseGot a London fog, iced hazelnut latte, and oatmeal cookie then hung around to get some work done for a few hours. Forgot my headphones but enjoyed overhearing the employees joking aroundThe food smelled so good that I’ll have to go back and get an actual meal soon“
“Great SPOT! It's wonderful when you can sit outside but not today bc it was a little cold and rainy. I ordered the Niçoise salad which was absolutely fantastic. NOTHING like my hometown like some of the crappy restaurants in the LV. Chef Mike is wonderful. The staff was wonderful, too. The mgmt was great & overall it was a very pleasant experience.“
“I did not take any pictures but this place was perfect for a quick pick me up! It's the perfect diner food that you need on a Saturday or Sunday morning after a late night! The woman who took my order was extremely kind and the food was served quickly!“
“If you have to order just one thing here, definitely get the MASALA CHEESESTEAK! I get it every few weeks, and it's so delicious that I make sure everyone who visits me from out of town tries it. Make sure to ask for it EXTRA SPICY, loaded with peppers, onions, mayo, etc.A true hidden gem, where you can get both late night fast food as well as amazing South Asian cuisine.Service is always quick, and Usman is always very friendly! It's a perfect spot for a late night bite.“
“So fricking delicious! We walked in on a Friday night and were able to snag a seat at the kitchen bar. That was almost a bad idea because then we wanted to try everything. Everything was phenomenal from appetizers, cocktails, dinner to dessert. I would highly recommend. We heard the menu rotates but we enjoyed the red curry chicken liver toast, roasted purple carrots, gougeres, chickpea pinasse, fluke and lemon tart!“
“I was there visiting family on the East Coast and wanted something from my youth to eat, chipped beef. There was a bakery item “elephant ears”. Victor graciously gave me one to sample and the advice to dunk it in my coffee. Love that kind of service. Next time I’m in town I will definitely stop in again. Thank you ❤️“
