Intimate, vegan-friendly dining in Washington Street Mall. I ordered the Ginger Sesame Noodles and (egg-free) Farm Vegetable Cakes with slaw, brown rice, and spicy ketchup. Everything was light yet satisfying; a delicious, well-seasoned meal. I look forward to returning!

Excellent service!!!!Fresh food served in small portions but tasty. For the price point - they need the sides to be better. Tasteless slaw and BORING brown rice are not good pairings.

My family has been coming here for 20 plus years and every meal has been absolutely incredible. Every part of the meal is incredible, the desert’s especially so.

Have to say, I was expecting more from reading all the glowing reviews! The Cajun Crab soup had a nice flavor but not much actual crab meat.Scallops seemed to have all been prepared exactly the same, leaving the smaller ones overcooked. Again, nice flavor when paired with the sauce.Others were not impressed with the Bluefish. Was told the crab cakes were excellent.

Have visited this restaurant many times. We have never been disappointed with the food and service. After receiving my check at a very recent visit, I was surprised to see a 3% charge added for the use of my credit card. At no time was I made aware of this charge until after my card was charged. I understand that this is a new trend among some restaurants, but should have been told about that when I was called to confirm the reservation. I suggest just adding a dollar on each entree and forget about the credit card fees.

Very average place. There are so many better options in town. Fish was fine but sort of fishy. Expensive for what you get. Service is okay but nothing to write home about.

The most underrated restaurant in Cape May! We’ve been vacationing in Cape May for over 10 years, have tried all the staple restaurants and Louisa’s is our new favorite. We were so excited to get a last minute reservation since it is packed every night. The food is simple but delicious, they use fresh and local ingredients and everything was cooked perfectly. The waitstaff are pleasant, knowledgeable and welcoming. Make sure you save room for dessert because it is fantastic. I HIGHLY suggest the chocolate pie. Since the restaurant is small, you feel like you are dining at someone’s house vs. a stuffy, loud restaurant. Louisa’s is our new favorite spot and a must try in Cape May!

I have to say, we have been going to Louisa’s for quite a while now! It has been a staple to my wife and I when we go down to Cape May on vacation. We got pregnant and were super excited to bring our daughter here now that she is 5 year old. Made reservations a month or two before going as its always hard to get a seat in there. We said it was for 3. The booked us with no questions asked and we were set. The day of our reservation they called to confirm, we were delighted and said it was for 3. The host (or whoever) was the person that day calling to confirm the parties said if you are bringing children we cannot accommodate menu items to children. We don’t have children’s menu. If you want to have something somewhat for children you can get a pasta that they may likes buts it’s 28.00. We were taken back a bit from that statement. We said all our daughter needs is pasta and butter. On top of that we said, nowhere in your site does it state that you don’t accommodate children’s menu or somewhere where it states “we don’t have a children’s menu” Cape May being such a family oriented town we did not expect this. Not even down the road at the trendy Ebbit Room where we ended it up going. No children’s menu there either but accommodated a delicious pasta with butter. I asked the host to make it a priority for future guest to know that you do not accommodate children’s menus that way a family full of kids don’t book a seat at your restaurant. I believe the initial call or on the website it should be stated clearly that you are not kids friendly Restaurant. The food is delicious and the desserts are always heavenly. This is mostly to educate a bit your host of communications and website visuals for families to be well informed. The host should be a bit more kind and have empathy to families instead of not giving options for us. He quickly showed us the exit door. Thank you.Kid-friendliness: You should communicate to all the patrons through websites and first call reservations that you do not accommodate kid friendly menus.

After having dinner in a different restaurant, my wife and I went to Louisa for dessert. In addition to serving dinner, Louisa also has a bakery that bakes for the restaurant. We ordered the spiced chocolate bread pudding with a caramel sauce and the vanilla bread pudding with a brown sugar whiskey sauce. Both were excellent. Louisa is a great place for delicious desserts.

Louisa's is generally closed during the off season. This is a small establishment a that does a nice job particularly with its fish offerings, many of which are local catches. Entrees are normally served with the basics of brown rice and a vegetable but the main is usually very well prepared. We haven't had a bad meal or experience here. It is a BYOB (bring your own bottle) so bring your favorite libation with you,

To be honest, we had to wait a little while to be seated at Louisa's Cafe (even though we had a reservation) but it's understandable once you have dined there - you won't want to leave! The food is soooo delicious! My only regret was not basing our Cape May trip around Louisa's Cafe's hours because we wanted to return the next day to try more dishes on their menu but, unfortunately they were closed.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Cape May. Seating is a little tight, but who cares. The cold soups are absolutely amazing! Every entree my husband and I choose have been tasty. My kids love the pasta.
