When in Cape May this is a definite YES. Atmosphere, service and food were amazing. We will be back when in Cape May again.

I'm deaf. The staff were very helpful in taking my orders. I ordered their crab soup and shrimp jambalaya. The portions are satisfying ? I ordered Spritzers ... I liked it a lot that I had 3 glasses plus hot tea. They open at 4pm at their bar side. The food and drinks were served quickly. Staff were helpful and friendly. I was full and thankful. I'll go back again.

We came for the $1 oyster happy hour special, and were amazed by the size of the bar and the crowd. The server was initially very friendly and the food and drinks arrived promptly. The oysters were good, medium sized and fresh. The mignonette sauce on the other hand was bland, and looked like blender-chopped onions in white vinegar that was almost like a paste. Perhaps they had run out of shallots ? But the worse was the waitress attitude when she forgot to bring our second round of drinks. Instead of apologizing, she was rude and she made us feel like we were too demanding.

We didn't have reservations for dinner but stopped in to get a drink at the bar then decided to stay for dinner. When we went to the hostess she seated the two of us in a corner table against the wall. I was shocked at how small the table was and remarked that I didn't think a plate would even fit on this table. The hostess stated"this is what you get when you don't have reservations". Made me feel like we were not welcome to dine there. As far as the food, my husband got steak and really enjoyed it. I had soup and the bang bang shrimp. It was ehhh. Later that night I was violently ill from the food. We will not be going back.

Oyster Bay never disappoints, great food and they remain consistent! As many times as i have been there, no one by far has made the experience better than our server and bartender Devyn. In this world we are living in today, not many people truly care like she does. Ask for her when you go!thanks Oyster Bay- Thankyou Devyn!

Gary, the “Manager” is the direct result of this poor review. After driving over 100 miles to have dinner with my family, we decided on this restaurant for some nice atmosphere and quality food. Though our wait staff was friendly, and it was somewhat understandable that the main special (catch of the day) wasn’t available due to running out 2 days ago.. All three of our steaks and meals were cooked the opposite of what was ordered. For the prices, it’s assumed there would be very few issues, not the case at all. As we told the waiter, he himself came back and relayed that the manager was willing to take 30% off one of the meals. It wasn’t until we requested the manager that he came over in a very inappropriate attitude and began to make excuses for the chef. Instead of apologizing and making it right for us, Gary continued to argue and fight with us that the meal is usually cooked properly, and he would take something off the check. When I requested my overcooked steak be taken off the bill, Gary once again argued and said he would only discount the steak. It was so upsetting his ignorance and lack of professionalism, that I told him to simply take the steak away because I wasn’t going to eat it. Gary said “awesome” and walked the meal away. I then and there lost my appetite and was so upset by Gary’s terrible treatment that I immediately got up and left the restaurant. I wasn’t willing to spend another second at this place, and the customers around our table were visibly upset by the situation they had to witness as well.Congratulations, Gary - you’ve lost us as customers for life, and earned this review. Hopefully you treat visiting customers better in the future.Terrible.

We wanted steaks and were willing to pay the price to get good ones. Unfortunately, none of the steaks at this restaurant were cooked to our specification. We all ordered medium: one steak was very rare and two were very overdone. We were too hungry to wait for new steaks, so we just ate two of them which, unfortunately, just weren't very good. The third steak was so obviously overdone that we asked for a comp. before consuming it. The manager, Gary, came out and said the cook normally does not make mistakes, but he would give us 30% off the one steak or we could wait for another to be cooked. This was not acceptable and quite a bit of back and forth arguing took place. We finally said the $55 steak was inedible and to take back the entire meal without replacement to which Gary said "Awesome" and whisked it away. We did get the comp at this point for a meal that was not eaten. They also gave us a 15% discount on the other 2 bad steaks. This was an awful experience that left us all hungry and extremely disappointed. Our neighbors at the next table also commented on the poor quality of their meal. Do yourself a favor and don't eat here.

It was okay, the menu was limited, not many choices. One person had the salmon, another the steak, which they enjoyed. Two of us had a dinner portion of the scallops. They were okay, would have preferred broiled to deep fried. Then it got really loud and you couldn't hold a conversation. I thought it was overpriced for what you got. Go to the Crab Trap instead, better selection, delicious and a little cheaper.

Great bar area. If they had an outside area, it would be 5 star for me.

We dined at Oyster Bay last weekend and had a great experience. Service was spot on. The food was delicious. We started off sharing a tasty seafood imperial over crostini. The grouper encrusted with chorizo was light and flavorful, and the andouille and seafood jambalaya was awesome. We highly recommend this place & hope to return back when in Cape May.

We've been coming here as a family now for two years and every visit has been great. The seafood is always super fresh and more than that they are very able to modify for my gluten sensitivity. You really can't go wrong if you visit and if you are lucky enough to have our favorite server, Joanne, then I know for sure you will have one of your best nights out! Joanne has gone above and beyond every time she has been our server. If she doesn't know the answer on a wine selection, etc. she gets the input and provides the input for the best decision.

Two of us went and it was just OK. Nothing special. My dish, was very salty on the soupy side. Glad I had asked them to put the rice aside as it helps neutralize the salt and spicy taste. Well, I recommend this place to see you? Maybe. Will I come back ? not anytime soon.

The food was great. The service was great. The seafood tower was really fresh. sitting outside you have the cars, honking, and exhaust fumes. Inside looked outdated, but they got us in
