Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish. We have dined here multiple times and never have had a bad meal. Most recently we attended the game dinner which was a culinary art. Each course was more delicious than the next. The service was impeccable and the charming ambiance makes for a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

So,So,So,So Good! As fine a dinner as one could ask for. Our meals are always great at PSI, last night was another high-water mark. The menu made decisions difficult, we wanted to have everything. The oysters and cavatelli with braised lamb appetizers were excellent, the pork chop Milanese, and the venison were both fabulous. Service is always exceptional, like having dinner with friends. With hardly room for dessert, our plates were clean when we left, the apple cristata fantastic. For 25 plus years our go to special occasion destination, we bring one of our best bottles knowing the food will score 100 points too.

As usual Peter Shields “PSI” never disappoints us. On a stormy Saturday night there was a full house which was nice to see! The piano played in the background and Sean our server made us feel special and always brings a smile.

Excellent dinner!! The food was delicious. We ordered the soup, a salad and special, mushroom ravioli with scallops, melted in your mouth!! For entrees we had the pork chop milanese, halibut and short rib, all amazing. Even the desserts were great! The service was exceptional!!! Can't wait to return!

Have been to psi several times & this time it was even better than before. The food is excellent...inventive dishes beautifully prepared. Service is top notch & it is so nice to be in a restaurant at the shore where you are not jammed together & where the noise level is low. Would highly recommend!

A bit disappointing since food was mediocre. Chicken had a weird spice, I think it was anise that didn't benefit chicken at all. Lobster smelled like a fish with the sauce that was too sour with the lobster meat combined made fishy smell and taste to stand out. Appetizers such as beat salad and escargot were good although escargot was locking spice and would benefit from adding garlic.

Great to revisit long-time favorite PSI with our server Chris still making it a memorable dining experience. The menu seems revitalized, with interesting flavor combinations (butternut squash risotto) and beautifully presented dishes. Can't wait for porch season!

Never stayed, but the food is always really tasty. Wait staff is pretty great. They do a special menu for Valentine's Day. It's a fun atmosphere.

Service, food and atmosphere all consistently outstanding. The piano player sets this establishment apart from other higher end restaurants in Cape May. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Peter Shields...

Food not great, my ny strip steak might have been the worst I have ever had. I had high expectations from what I have seen in reviews and have heard in the past about PSI. I would not go back

This was our first visit after hearing years and years of positive reviews. We were impressed with 90% of our experience. Service, ambience, menu and overall evening were all excellent. My wife ordered the Venison which is a challenging dish to say the least. She was given an "extra sharp" knife which unfortunately was a requirement. We will definitely go back but stay away from this entree.

Short ribs were dry and delivered room temperature. Halibut and was dry and room temperature. Venison was also dry and less than room temperature. Service was good. We arrived 15 minutes early and was instructed to go to the lounge. We sat and waited. Would have been nice if glasses were available to open one bottle of our wine as we waited 35 minutes to be seated. Maybe all of this is abnormal since it was Valentines evening, but this should have been anticipated. Going with a group this summer ...the reservations were already arranged. I hope the experience will be better since everyone is out of the area.

We had dinner at Peter Shields Inn on Valentine’s Day and I was disappointed by my entree. I order the strip sirloin with crab. I ordered it to be cooked medium rare and it came out medium well. It was a little dry because it was over cooked. If you’re going to pay $68 for an entree, you would expect it would be cooked as you ordered it. We have eaten there several times and were never disappointed. This was the first time.

I had my 50th birthday dinner here with my husband. To say I had the best birthday dinner ever would be an understatement. From the staff to the live piano player it was magic. The cuisine is incredible and chef Keith Mitchell has crafted a 5 star menu. I can’t wait to go back. Make it your next reservation you won’t be disappointed.
