The food and service were excellent, but the ambiance really sets this restaurant apart. A very unique vibe with cool artwork and music, comfortable seating, great lighting. We'll be back!!

I would have given 5 stars but the dessert was pretty hard like it was sitting out all day. The rest of dinner was fantastic though. I was very impressed. If I'm ever back down there I would def go again

We were thrilled with our experience at The YB. Probably one of the best dinners we have had in the last 6 months for sure. Our waitress was outstanding..friendly, knowledgable, and made an amazing ceasar for 2 tableside. The scallops and pork ribeye were crazy good! Everyone should try this little gem of a place in one of our favorite places, Cape May.

Food and service were incredible. My boyfriend and I both ordered the pork ribeye and our waitress said it's her favorite dish on the menu. We will definitely be returning next time we're in Cape May.

We have been to numerous Kara group restaurants and have thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. The food and service is always outstanding!! We will for sure be back to each and every one

Very good food and service in a cozy atmosphere (rather too noisy the night we were there, but that's no fault of the restaurant). Only drawback -- toilet was out of order but were were directed to a sister restaurant two doors away.

We loved our meal at The YB a week ago. The food was delicious. The Caesar salad, made tableside was excellent and was enough for three, despite being advertised as for two. The fried tomatoes with crab bechamel was so good. Our pork belly fan loved the belly/scallop appetizer. All three entrees were a hit too: the salmon croquettes, the shrimp pomodoro, and the lamb shank. The flavors of each dish worked together well. The ingredients were clearly high quality. We were too full for dessert. Service was excellent. We will return.

Table side Caesar salad as fresh as can be! Salmon croquettes excellent, two per serving but size-wise more like cakes! Chicken Parmesan huge and arrabiatta-style, although on the milder side. Small place but we'll-spaced tables. Awesome music as well, eclectic from 60's to present.

Múltiple items on the limited dinner menu were unavailable and we were the only people in the restaurant at 5:45. Having some of the lunch choices available would have improved the situation. We chose an appetizer chopped cob salad which was so large it became our dinner. The salad was good. The leftover containers leaked. The restaurant seems to have potential but wasn't quite there yet during our visit.

The YB is a gem. The food is so delicious and perfectly prepared. The spiced pork dish was fantastic. And I could eat a bucket of the truffle mashed potatoes. The braised lamb was less flavorful, but conjured tastes of a home cooked meal. The service was friendly, warm, and unhurried. It was the best meal we've enjoyed during our stay at the shore. I highly recommend.
Great service and great food. 6 people in our party and everyone was very happy with their meal. Generous portions, thank goodness we shared entrees. Only regret is that we didn't save room to try their homemade desserts.

Another great meal. Our vegetarian daughter was visiting from out of town and had several good options to choose from; she loved her choice (sorry, can't remember what it was). We were there during a stormy weekend (Ophelia?) so it was quiet. Waitress was amazing.

My husband and I ate there for the 1st time last night. It was delicious and stands out from other restaurants there. Great friendly service too. It's much quieter and slower paced after Labor Day so it was perfect. We will be going back for sure. The brownie for dessert was to die for!!

There has been a change of ownership/chef here since I last dined. While the overall quality of the entrees was still good, it is missing the imaginative quality it once had—especially in the starter and dessert sections. On a Friday night there were only three tables filled during our stay. Still decent value for a BYOB.

We have dined at YB several times over the years. The menu and staff have changed a little over the years too. This year the food was as good as it's ever been. Definitely became one of our favorite spots this summer in Cape May. Absolutely would recommend very highly.
