Shame that the rating isn't separated from the restaurant, but my girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary and were blown away. We made a reservation in advance and were promptly seated upon arrival. The service was pleasant, and the food was exceptional. The oysters were unfortunately on the smaller side, but the octopus appetizer was prepared well and had great flavor. Both entrees were fantastic. The crab cakes were top notch, and the seared flounder was cooked perfectly. They went above and beyond by giving us this black cherry sorbet in honor of our anniversary, which was so thoughtful and definitely appreciated. Thanks for the lovely dinner and great food!

Brittany, Gabriella , Kevin, and Ashley were all extremely pleasant and accommodating! The food was exceptional! The duck I had was the best I've ever had! My fiancé dish was also great! Highly recommend, and we will be returning when we are back in town.Food & drinks: Duck and sides that came with it were out of this worldly decadent!

Amazing and delicious! We got the pork chop with this pear sauce and mashed potato, the special which was a halibut and couscous with a delicious sauce, the bronzino and the braised lamb and pasta. All of us truly loved and enjoyed the flavors!!!

Waited a little too long for our reserved table. Waited little too long for service once we sat but overall service was good. Food was delicious. Where we felt it was short was atmosphere. Maybe it was our table location but It was so busy staff was running around us. It was not the relaxing romantic night I was looking for from the restaurant. Felt like we were in a fast food restaurant with all the activity around us.Food & drinks: Food delicious

After driving 2 hours on a Sunday when posted hours of operation are open until 9pm, we arrived at 8:05 and were met by smug staff that immediately told us they needed to find a manager to deal with us. The manager walked up to us and said, we are a reservation type of restaurant and we are done for the night. This smug young man turned away myself, my wife and 3 children after driving 2 hours to check into our hotel and dine at their restaurant. In the middle of the off season, plenty of open tables and NO policy that says they are reservation only. Change your posted hours if you intend on turning paying customers away, especially a family, in a town that already does not have a lot of options to eat on Sundays. If this was my restaurant, which I own 3, this manager would be fired and the staff re-trained on hospitality. What a disgraceful way to handle guests. My wife and I dine in this restaurant numerous times every year when coming down for our time away and will be sure to NEVER return as well as make this treatment known to others.

Easy 5 stars, maybe 6. Shayna was the HIGHLIGHT of our evening. Her spiel was perfect, timing was impeccable, she was interested in what we had to say and had all the answers to our questions. Top notch server! Would HIGHLY recommend to request her as your server. Also, Ian was a super nice young gentleman who has a quick eye, polite demeanor, and takes the lead when the need is seen. Had tuna tartare, which was 10/10 until the amuse boosh arrived, on the house, and was exceptionally exquisite. Finished with short rib and fosters which were both outta this world. Will be dining here again!!

This was my second time here and the food is absolutely delicious! I ordered the “special” pork chop which was cooked perfectly. I also had the vanilla bean cheesecake which was amazing as well! Very good appetizers, too! I highly recommend this place!

Chef Woods prepared a special 3 course vegan dinner for my wife and it was extraordinary in every way. I had the fluke and it also was prepared with perfection. We've been dining at the Washington for over two decades and the culinary creativity and talent of Chef Woods and her kitchen team continue to impress us. The Washington Inn continues to be one of the best dining venues on the Jersey Shore.

First time there they have valet parking which I suggest because even in the off season parking was a pain. Tables are a bit small for 2 but the courses are brought out slowly so the table was never overcrowded. We had the cioppini and the filet mignon both excellent. We also had escargot, tune poke and oyster Rockefeller. The oysters were a bit bland and would probably skip them if we went back. The tuna and escargot were very good. For dessert the brûlée was good and we had a signature chocolate cake that was quite a work of art in appearance but extremely delicious. The experience overall was pleasant and I would recommend for a very nice dinner out.
