As always, I had a lovely dinner at Scalini Fedeli. We were seated at a table in a quiet corner near a window, which was perfect. Based on my survey, everyone in our party thought their food and wine were delicious. I had the salmon special entree and absolutely loved it. The service was great, too, although I sensed that our busser was a little bit green. She was very nice, polite and attentive, so I didn't mind. My only slight disappointment came at the end of our dinner. I (a woman) requested the check. When it arrived, I handed my card to our waiter to pay the check. When the Maitre d' or floor manager (not sure which title is appropriate, but she seated us upon arrival), returned to our table with my card and the receipt, she automatically walked over to the man sitting opposite me, and handed them to him! It's 2024, for Xmas's sake. It should not be inconceivable that a woman is paying the check. Of course, she could have taken a second to look at the name on my card before being so stereotypically and anachronistically presumptuous. Nevertheless, Scalini Fedeli is one of my favorite restaurants in this area.

The restaurant was an excellent. I had an overall great experience. And Danny was our waiter and he was excellent. As a Hispanic customer we did not feel any type of racism or unequal treatment. I recommend this restaurant for the people who want to enjoy a beautiful night

The prix fix menu was fabulous. We enjoyed all the food we ordered and the soufflé was a great way to finish. The wait staff was attentive and very friendly. I've been going there for over 20 years and always had a great experience.

Food, ambience, service made my husband's birthday celebration with family absolute perfection! We had been to their dister restaurant in Tribeca... this was just as wonderful! Will come back...hopefully soon❤️

Well, it's a mixed bag.Service and atmosphere are spot on.However, Veal Chop dinner (with a $10 added cost) is described as a boneless veal chop milanese. It certainly was milanese. However, no veal chop arrived. Instead, I received a breaded and fried veal cutlet. This is a meal that you'd expect to see at your local pizza restaurant and not at #1 favorite in NJ; as mentioned on their website. While the waiter was extremely attentive and experienced and the other courses of the meal were better than most, the portions were lighter than expected. Good flavor, great service but you've not impressed me enough to return for a 2nd chance.

Food is overpriced for its quality , and seems the chef took the day off this Friday night. Food is salty and sauces overrated. Ingredients quality seems from a regular supermarket.Service is ok. Decorations are ok, and that is probably their best asset. Oh and don't forget the "valet" parking guy that will let you freeze till he can get your car and ask for the tip.Parking: the guy let you freeze till he gets your car

Fantastic upscale Italian dishes with great service. The Raviolo was cooked to perfection. Short rib was tender and the puree was very light and flavorful. My only regret is not going with more people so I could share and tase more of the dishes. See you soon.

A party of four, we arrived on time but had to wait with two other groups of dinners for our tables to clear. We were seated after about 10 minutes and were served by Gus, who is a gem. He worked with the vegetarian diner in our group and made us all feel like family. The opening course was not the best as the shrimp was tough, but the rest of our respective meals were top notch. In particular the soft egg yolk raviolo and the pappardelle were great as were the short ribs and a pork medallion special. The berries with cold zabaglione and the ricotta donuts were a sweet treat. I'd initially dined at SF over 25 years ago and was impressed. I only wish I'd returned sooner!

Made reservations to celebrate my sister's milestone birthday. Upon arriving I took out our wine and also a cosmopolitan cocktail for celebration. I learned from our server that based on the license that the restaurant has that they could not allow us to open our cocktail. So we moved onto our Puligny-Montrachet. The upsetting part was that I didn't know that the restaurant could have made us an opening cocktail. The server only offered this upon my signing the check when I questioned, I didn't realize you have a full bar now. He commented do you want it now to which I responded no. It would've been nice to have it earlier. Very disappointing from that perspective..
A little dark in the dining room late at night, but don't let that stop you from enjoying the food or the atmosphere. PERFECT place for date night!

Food was outstanding as always. Service was excellent. Wait was 50 minutes which will make us not return for a while. No excuse for making us wait to be seated for almost an hour. Unacceptable even when the food is exceptional.

ALWAYS amazing. Take a moment from everything going on around you at the table and taste your first bite. You will begin to understand what food should really taste like. And the service will not disappoint either! Busy nights they have a free valet which is a real bit of luxury for their parking lot :)

My husband and I went for our anniversary. Let me start off by saying restaurant (though dated and older) is very nice, romantic. We loved where our seat was it was intimate and we could still people watch. The food was very good, we didnt mind the pri -fix menu and the drinks were also good. What bothered me, was the utensils, drinking glasses and plates all had a funny odor, keep of like raw chicken or egg. My husband who usually makes fun of me for my strong sense of smell agreed, and having worked in the food industry said it was probably from the dishwasher. I would go back, to try it again, and hopefully the smell is gone.

Ravioli appetizer was excellent. The veal milanese was a little dry, had no balsamic dressing, and the chocolate souffle was nothing special. The atmosphere was charming, and the service was excellent. We brought our own wine and paid the $25 corkage fee.
