First day back in the states after 6 months in the Mediterranean, and passed by here hoping I could get a taste of the food I’d been enjoying. They told me they don’t sell “expresso”, but tried to get his dad(?) to make me some. Told him I wanted an Americano (just espresso watered down) but he didn’t understand. Sold me a moldy cannoli, then passively aggressively implied I was lying about the mold “after eating all of it”. Even though you can see I spit half of it out cause mold tastes like dirt. And the prices… they’re selling a jar of Nutella for $14.99 lmao. Paid 4.25 for 1 cannoli.

Reminder of years ago Alot of Italian food and finds of olive oil etc really great toe especially the Parm cheese loved bag of noodles to brought home and cooked them Italian styleVegetarian options: Tomato pie is very good

Moved from Northern NJ, and it has been a struggle to find a good Italian Specialty Shop. I found it. It's Croce. Everything is so fresh. Don't sleep on the deli. Subs are incredible.

I went here because I read an article that said it was one of the best Italian markets in NJ. Whoever wrote the article is out of their friggin mind. I'll stay with and keep going to Bagliani's in Hammonton because they truly ARE the best. Croce's can't hold a candle to them!

Update 2023 - freshest hoagie anywhere- love the olives and mozzarella - phenomenal Italian sweets as well ——- 2016 Italian hoagie is the best anywhere - Tomato pie is also paramount
