Our waitress, Terry, was so nice and warm and friendly. Terry's Mom, who opened Mini Mac 49 years ago, was the cook. It is a very homelike place. It hadn't dawned on us, but right after we ordered, my wife asked if they accepted debit or credit cards. They don't! Panic!Terry, without a pause told us not to worry and to just enjoy our breakfasts. We did. They were both delicious. I ate every single bit.We left and drove to Flanders to make an ATM withdrawal, then returned to pay. (And tip extra!)Thank you both. What an experience!

A cozy little diner with friendly folks and delicious food. We enjoyed an omelet and blueberry corncakes. The omelet came with a substantial serving of terrific home fries and two generous slices of toast. The corncakes were loaded with juicy blueberries. Both dishes were well prepared. The hot coffee kept coming and service was efficient but not rushed. We will be back.

I wanted to leave a 4, but couldn't in good conscience do it. The food is cheap which is probably the only thing it has going for it. The French toast was bland. Got the biscuits and gravy. I don't know how you could call those biscuits. They're more like dollar pancakes. Home fries were pretty much just potatoes; no onions or peppers to speak of. Onion rings while a good size with a lot of onion were just too greasy and soggy. Coleslaw was strictly out of a tub which is fine but to charge $3.50 for a tiny bowl of it was outrageous. Apple pie was ok but would've been nice if it was warmed up. The food is just cooked with zero love. I mean just no effort whatsoever. Just the bare bones minimum product you can whip together. The place itself was rundown. I know quaint and that wasn't it. The menus were falling apart. How much does it cost to just buy some new sleeves for your menus. The service was quick but she didn't even know if they had pie or coleslaw. Keep in mind its a tiny menu so I have no idea how you don't know this. I have no idea how anyone can give this place 5 stars.

Me and my teenage son come every weekend to get a wonderful meal for our day. The menu ideally covers everything without being over the top. Plus Terry and Mama totally remember how we like it and truly care about their dishes and establishment. Being there, not just eating there, is a big part of our lives.

There needs to be more places like this, talk about feeling at home and having a meal that tastes and feels homemade. Ginger was an incredible server and made me feel like we’ve know eachother for years. Definitely will be going back soon.

Pretty good food. I had the chicken pot pie. The crust was flakey the filling was hot ,creamy and fresh. I also dug the cool vibe. Just a converted garage (maybe )with a happy older woman cooking and a waitress who knew all the regulars. Would def. go back if I was in the area. PS. Try the corn cakes too.

Visited 10/12/2023 Stopped by after a run for apple cider donuts (for home, not breakfast) for some breakfast. So... the food eggs over easy, home fries for the Mrs, biscuit and sausage gravy with a poached egg for me were very good. Service was prompt and courteous... so problem so far. My issue (and my wife's) is the cleanliness of the place. Needs a major scrubbing in my opinion. My wife went to use their bathroom and had we not already ordered, we would have left. She said the bathroom was so gross! (although I'm glad we stayed because the food was pretty good) Ladies... think curb appeal and spruce up the place a bit. Some paint and a refresh will get you a ton more business.

What a hidden gem this place is and we almost missed it! Just don't look for anything fancy. The food is delicious and inexpensive. We were looking for somewhere to eat after visiting a local farm and this place was perfect. An older Ukrainian woman was cooking and doing a great job. My husband had the chicken pot pie and I had the stuffed cabbage, both delicious! And then the chef sent out a corncake for us to try (never had one before). We live an hour away, but I can't wait to go back and have those corncakes! The place is small and very quiet so you're aware of everyone in the room and there's actual conversation instead of people looking at their cell phones. Great experience, really nice people. Felt like we were in someone's home, welcomed and well fed.

Mini Mac is like a time capsule… a quaint little roadside gem just a few minutes from downtown Chester as well as Patriot’s Path, Columbia Trail and Black River WMA. A great spot for breakfast or lunch after hitting the trail.
