Devastated that this place is gone. It was such a hidden gem that could transport you. I wish I had more time here

Tapas, Tapas, Tapas! Love this place! Another one of our go-to local spots. Service and #food is great! We've tried almost everything on the menu. Love the Croquetas de Jamon or Pollo (Ham or Chicken Croquettes) and the Pinchos Morunos (Spanish Chicken Skewers) One time we ordered 100 of the Ham Croquettes!! #delicious --- Mostly #spanish #tapas, Snacks & wine --- Bodegón is a Spanish restaurant focusing on the cuisine of Galicia. Located in the heart of Cliffside Park, the restaurant pays homage to a style of Galician tavern known colloquially as a 'Bodegón.' Chef Alex Piñeiro has created a menu of regional favorites to showcase one of Spain's lesser known regions and his family roots. The menu is designed to be shared and enjoyed with friends and loved ones.

Delicious tapas! Loved the seafood, scallops, octopus, and anchovies ??? Also try the cremini mushroom croquettes! So good. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather but must come back to check out indoor dining and the bar.

Experience from start of finish was on point. Food was delicious, and staff was attentive to many details and super friendly. I would highly recommend. Only thing Manchego cheese plate did not seem like Manchego cheese to me neither in taste nor texture, but it might be a different kind I am not used to. It is a great place for a date night or to have a couple drinks with friends. Will be back!

Good food, good service and nice ambiance, it reminds me of the restaurants that we visited when we were in Europe. The interior is much bigger than I thought and it's actually quite spacious. We enjoy every dish we ordered especially the sea food rice, and which has abundant seafood in there and the rice cooked perfectly! They also have a good selections of wine, beers and cocktails. I took 1 star off as I found the music they played didn't really tie to the theme very well, and it's too loud that is almost distracting. However, overall, I like this restaurant a lot and will definitely come back again!

Great tapas restaurant in the northern nj area. Inventive drinks and attentive service. The food was fresh and delicious. Will go again with friends who always want to eat in nyc but poo poo nj.

Bodegon is a small cafe-ish style restaurant with an ( approx) 10 stool bar. Maybe 4-5 spots in the rear parking lot, besides street parking. All of the staff was very nice, helpful, and informative. Great staff! First off Bodegon is not a typical "Spanish" place what with Paella or lots of big plate meat & fish dishes. ( There are plenty of those in Bergen County) The owner & head chef is from the NW part of Spain called Galicia. It is a cooler climate and has it's own cuisine. Here the chef has a small menu, mostly tapas, but from ALL different areas of Spain as well as Galicia. There is a very nice wine menu with some delicious Spanish wines that are very inexpensive. by the glass, carafe, or bottle. There are also specialty cocktails with the infamous Spanish brandies and spirits of Spain & Europe. A decent choice of Spanish beers as well. I mentioned the menu was small, but packs a punch of flavor from obviously well chosen ingredients. The menu is changes seasonally and there are also specials. One item that seems to stay has to be one of their best. A 3 piece skewer of grilled chicken covered in Moorish spices. Sooo good we ordered another serving. Probably one of THE BEST dishes I've had in years in NJ. the seared hake fillet (fish), with potato, green olives, and orange was a very flavorful well balanced entree. Another good item was a sort of 'po-boy' sandwich with fried calamari with an anchovy aioli. A perfect example of a street food you would buy in Spain. The cheeses, the chorizo and salamis all fresh and artisanal. But save room and try the house flan. Not your typical mass of wiggly, syrupy same ol'. This version was almost a flan on a pastry like form. VERY good. Hope to make it back in the summer to try some new dishes and of course that Moorish spiced chicken. Bon Appetit'

Hospitality executed well. The bartender made the experience fantastic. Food, ambiance, and presentation were all on point. Ordered a lot more than pictured but this paper thin, pressed Galician pulpo was ?Coming back to try the rest of the menu!

My husband and I dined here this past weekend for my birthday. It was our first time here and we were not disappointed. We had 5 snacks and 4 tapas and then split the flan. Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. Some of the highlights were the shrimp toast, this delicious cucumber salad (I think there was chili in it), lagostinos, the steak - the chimichurri was fantastic, honestly everything was great I just can't remember it all! Drinks were good as well and love that they use some NJ distilleries for their liquor. Cool vibe as well. Also shout out to our waiter Carlos who was super informative, pleasant, and made for an all around wonderful dining experience! Definitely give them a try!

It is nice and fancy restaurant.Since they are selling mainly tapas, the portion is kinda small. Dishes that I ordered were pretty good, but they are pricy for the small portions.Maybe a great place for drinks and snacks!

Great ambiance and modern setting. Very welcoming and attentive service. Many tapas options with wine choices. Anchovies, chicken and croqueta are must haves.

Delicious food with excellent service. Great for ordering a bunch of different things and sharing. The croquetas was some of the best I ever had.

This is a Tapas restaurant, portions are small but prices are good and food very good. But be aware, this is a "share plate" tapas place

Bodegón is the best restaurant in the area bar none. The decor is beautiful, the staff on point and the food is absolutely fantastic. Favorite dishes are the monkfish, scallops (pictured) and of course those unforgettable croquetas. Some of the menu rotates based on seasonality so its fun to try new dishes. Most recently the chilled asparagus was a fresh springy surprise. Love the desserts. The flan (pictured) is sumptuous and the recently added chocolate tart (pictured) has been a great addition.
