Terrible service. Walked in trying to order and was completely ignored by the girl in the front. She saw us walking in and went to go hide in the back, we waited a couple minutes and after no one coming to take our order we walked out.

Great place for Dominican food in Cliffside park! The service is a bit slow but we on island time when going to these small restaurants. You will find the prices are great and they'll welcome you like if you are part of the family .. small humble ambiance!

I bought a sancocho to take away and when I got home I realized that the sancocho was damaged so I called the restaurant to let them know so they wouldn't sell it to someone else. Well, the girl spoke to me with a very bad attitude, insinuating that the stew was good and that I was lying. Well, I went in person to bring them the sancocho and although I was kind, they continued with their bad attitude and lack of ethics, ignoring that I was in a restaurant. Well, I had to talk to him several times to get his attention when the restaurant was empty. A girl who was serving with blonde hair took the food and with a bad attitude said that the food was good and what I wanted to do. In the end they gave me my money back but I had a bad time when everything could be fixed with empathy. The truth is, I don't recommend this restaurant, you put customers' health in danger by selling damaged food and poor customer service.

They do not have an updated menu online and when you call the staff they give you another price and they do not have any professionalism when answering and you cannot complain because they close your call first and last time I buy, very bad

This place is so slow. Even for take out its slow, they say the food will be out in a few mins and 25-mins later, nothing. The cook is sometimes alone or with a second person they are eating while cooking with no sense of urgency to make your food. I left two different times I will never go there again.

This place was good years ago. I use to love this place, prices keep going up but the quality and quantity of the food has gone down! They always change staff/cook and it is definitely not the same. Meals have gotten smaller but price has gone up. You can get better quality food for cheaper in the city. Not going here again. And they stopped giving sauces with some of their food selections . I stopped eating here.

Ordered delivery from this place. Literally took an hour and half and we had to call multiple times to ask where the food was. We live 10 minutes from this place so it was unacceptable. The food was just ok. Never again.Responding to the below because unfortunately you are not being truthful: there was literally no traffic that day (I had checked) and you reassured me when I placed the order that the food (which was a simple chicharrones de pollo, rice/ beans) shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes after making it to be delivered. The food arrived much later than the 45 minutes after we placed our first call, and we made at least 2 phone calls after our initial call to see where our food was. I stand by my initial review and would give 0 stars if I could after this inaccurate response from you.
Love this little eatery to enjoy Dominican fare from mondongo to tostones and the sancocho is heaven!

I should've known the food was gonna be trash as soon as i walked in and none of the workers were Dominican, the mangu is so bland. The golpes were good though but the main part of the meal just taste like nothing and super watery. Definitely not worth $15.

I emptied the bag to show her I had none in the bag and she proceeded by throwing it on the counter as if I just didn’t make a purchase. Do better and have

The food here is excellent, however, the service has exponentially deteriorated. There were two staff members on, one male with a green hat wearing it backwards and a waitress who did not tend to me once during the time I ate there.My intention was to order more but I was turned off after I had drank a whole drink and still had food left to eat.The Union City location is where you will want to go to if you expect a full quality service.

So GOOD - I'm Dominican and Finally found an authentic spot. The Mofongo was top 3 best I ever had . And try mangu was perfect . Coffee was good too . LOVE this spot !
