I love Soo Chow Garden! The food here is delicious and the staff are all very nice. I highly recommend getting their spicy beef noodle soup. The noodles are always cooked perfectly and there is a generous amount of beef included in each bowl. The restaurant is located right next to a parking lot, which makes it very convenient to visit.

$30 for 2 small containers of food which were half empty. I work extremely hard for my $. Unacceptable, I will never get food from here again. Vegetable fried rice and broccoli with garlic sauce. No meat.... rediculous.

Very authentic Chinese restaurant in Cliffside Park. They have their own parking lot! Tried the pork and crabmeat soup dumplings but I wasn't a fan.. there is something off about the taste so I wouldn't recommend it. The dry pot was a show stopper though! They deep fried the fish in some batter before stir frying it for the dry pot. I love that it came out sizzling hot because of the flame underneath the pot. The dish was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of spice. I can't eat too spicy but I think you can adjust the spice level by telling the server. Comes with a side of white rice. I also had the hot and sour soup which was very good. Very attentive staff here. It seems very much like a mom and pop shop. This is not a fancy restaurant- it's more of a place you go with your family and friends for comfort food. I would come back here to try other dishes.

Excellent food, great service, relaxed atmosphere. Seems like a very well run family operation. Would certainly recommend this place. It is our go to place for good reliable Chinese food.

We've been disappointed with the absence of legit Chinese food around the area so one weekend, I decided to be adventurous and give this place a try. I think we may have just found our FAVORITE Chinese restaurant. Consider us regulars from now on. First of all, this place has parking so you never have to worry about paid or street parking. Isn't that great? Having been spoiled by the flavors of Chinatown and Flushing, I'm so happy to have found this place because I can now satiate my cravings without having to travel far. I typically try the basics first because if they got those right, you bet I'm coming back for more! Their menu is what i'd expect from a legit Chinese restaurant and im happy with the yangchow fried rice, salt&pepper pork and the beef chow fun. The soup dumpling skin was too thick for my liking but it will do. I'll have to try my other favorite dishes next time.

Mediocre food but not bad though I felt the price was steep for the quality or taste. Not sure if wanna be back

Very clean taste. Doesn’t taste like the oil was months old like your other typical Chinese restaurants. Staff are friendly. What more can you ask

Ehhh so so.... Actually it was pretty bad.... The food was so bland I almost wanted to ask for some msg to sprinkle in my food. I swear Chinese restaurants are being shamed into not putting any msg into their food by white people but this place sure could use some in there's. I hate writing bad reviews for businesses but I have to stay true.

A great find in the neighborhood. It serves authentic Szechuan food - not the westernized food. Will definitely go again and try some different dishes

Only thing to try here is the Chinese dough, soy milk, soup dumpling and beef noodle soup. Plenty of room to improve in and out!

Good, authentic Chinese food with a friendly staff. We dropped by this low-key looking Chinese restaurant (next to Black Beard Ramen) on a Saturday evening at 6pm and it was fairly quiet inside. There were customers dining in throughout the night, but it seemed that the traffic was more steady for takeout. There were never more than 3-4 tables occupied at any point in time. The menu here is a mix of Shanghainese and Cantonese cuisine, which was perfect for us because we were craving soup dumplings, but still wanted a few Cantonese dishes. We ended up ordering: Pork Soup Dumplings Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings Chicken with String Beans House Fried Rice Shanghai Stir Fried Noodles The Yelp reviews here were decent, but, I was still surprised at how good all of the food actually was from this quiet, little restaurant. The soup dumplings had plenty of soup in them, albeit a bit cooled off though. All of the other dishes were all portioned very fairly and tasted good too. I loved the Chicken with String Beans, House Fried Rice and Shanghai Stir Fried Noodles. Honestly, no complaints what so ever. Everything was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of flavor. Besides the good food, the staff were super friendly to our family throughout the evening and constantly talking to our kids. Also, there is a parking lot for this restaurant, so no need to worry about parking here. For such a small, local restaurant, the food was really delicious and this definitely cracks my list of restaurants to go back to!
