So my wife and I stopped at this Blimpie location for dinner the other day. We got there about 20 min before closing time. I asked if I could have the sliders case because we were headed to my in-laws and we wanted to share with them. The person behind the counter told me sliders had to be ordered before 3pm. I found that to be strange since the slider case is really just 5 foot long sandwiches cut into pieces. We then ordered 3 foot long subs and told them I had a buy one get one free coupon that was emailed to me from Blimpie. She then told me she cannot accept coupons if they're not printed out. My wife and I were confused once again because there was nowhere on the coupon that said it needed to be printed out. I then showed her the barcode to scan for the coupon and she said they do not have the capability of scanning the barcode. My wife then asked her to call the manager to the front. The employee stated that the manager was home. My life then asked her to call the manager on the phone. She made the phone call, came back and said she would take the coupon. When we got to the register, my wife noticed that we only saved about $2 even though we purchased three foot long subs and the total was over $30. When asked why we didn't get a footlong for free, she stated that the coupon said buy one regular sub and get one of equal value for free. She then claims that a regular sub is a 6-in sub and not a footlong so I was not eligible to get a footlong for free. She only discounted a portion of one of the sandwiches. I was completely shocked by that response! We traveled all the way from Somerset county to Passaic county to visit my in-laws and I specifically chose to go to Blimpie because I love their sandwiches and we don't have one near our residence. As a kid, it was a Blimpie in the town that I grew up in and we used to go there all the time. So for me this was more than just a sandwich, there was a sense of nostalgia that came along with it. This is experience not only left a bad taste in my mouth, but it has also ruined the childhood memories that I had going to blimpie's as a kid.

Asked for a half blimpies best, they made a whole. When told them I asked for half, it was my fault they didn’t hear me clearly. I can see through the meat! If I wanted lettuce on a hard bread I would go to subway. Very very skimpy. Poor excuse for a blimpie shop!

Just left out as far as tasting wise... its delicious ?... I LOVE BLIMPIE but for the person who made my sandwich seem like they had a bad day when making my sandwich. They slap my meat on the prep table as I tell them how I like my sandwich.

I admit that Blimpie is a guilty pleasure but I love their Chef Salad and think they are a better alternative to Subway. While Subway may have more toppings and more options I like that Blimpie slices their cold cuts fresh and to order. Honestly there're enough good Italian deli's locally that will make a better sub but Blimpie 's is good in a pinch.
