I have absolutely no conceivable idea of how this place won any kind of voting award. I am convinced it had to be more of a participation trophy type deal, and they just had to get a turn. The food is way overpriced for what it is. The dogs loom like they should be sold from a cart, and the Chilli tastes like its from a can, and for some reason they use nutmeg....I ordered cheese fries, they legit put overcooked fries on a plate and broiled a few pieces of oil based cheese on them. When I got them they were hard.Also, the Hispanic guy at the front over charged me and acted like he didn't know how the computer worked. My friend pointed it out before I punched in my debt code. "Ohh I sorry I sorry" then I got my horrible food.Rutt's Hutt is still the be all end all in hot dogs ?

Despite their name, Texas wiener spiced chili dogs are a New Jersey fast food staple, and few if any places are more synonymous with the Texas wiener than the Hot Grill in Clifton, NJ. Overall, it’s the second best chili dog of any kind I’ve had after my beloved Hiram’s in Fort Lee. Obviously Texas wiener style chili is more of a spicy sauce, Hot Grill’s sauce has excellent flavor, almost curry like. Hiram’s and Rutt’s Hutt use a more a traditional meaty chili, which is my personal preference, but to each their own. The customer service was kind and welcoming. Vintage Americana fast food atmosphere and very spacious. Their Burgers, especially if you put the their Texas Wiener sauce on it, is also one of the better fast food/diner style burgers I’ve had in a while. Overall, well worth the trip from Budd Lake.

I remember going to Rush Hut when I was about 3 years old and moved away for a while but I always tell me to come to visit I stop out and get some rippers and I'm actually bringing some of the rella sauce home with me to South Carolina recommended

My brother and I have been going to the Hot Grill since we were little kids. Our dad used to play softball in the fields right across the street.We are now in our 60s, and it still hasn't lost its appeal to us. We live much farther away now, in New England, but whenever we get down to New Jersey, we visit this place. The Texas wieners are a unique meal that you can't find anywhere else on the planet.Make sure you order them "all the way!!!"

I actually ordered from here using a food delivery app. Both times the delivery service was super fast. More importantly, the way they packaged the burgers, hot dogs, and cheese fries and shakes was impeccable! Best wrapping from any place. All with paper plates, wrapping paper and a rubber band for each. Not 1 ounce of cheese or gravy spilled. Cudos to the person wrapping up delivery orders. Food was also always on point!
