Hosted an afternoon baby shower at Milano's. The manager Tony was extremely responsive, accommodating and willing to cater to our needs and budget. No issues with bringing in outside decor or cake. They opened the restaurant early for our party and we had the place to ourselves which was great. The back room is a nice size for a party of 20 - very cozy with a nice working fireplace. The food overall is decent - some choices are better than others. Fried calamari is very good. Buffalo cauliflower had too much sauce/too much vinegar. Caesar salad was a little bland. Chicken francese, penne vodka and salmon were all solid - everyone seemed to like those dishes. The kids meal - a hamburger w/ fries was burnt/overcooked and thus the kids did not eat it. Overall its a cozy, neighborhood spot - seems popular with locals. Nice for a casual lunch or dinner. They have live music Thursday/Fridays and outdoor igloos seating.

What a nice experience. Our waitress was new, but very sweet and attentive. The food was great. The three of us ordered calamari and fried goat cheese salad to start, blackened salmon, shrimp scampi and chicken artichoke as entrees. Everything was hot and delicious. We finished the meal with cappuccinos. Including 3 glasses of wine, the complete bill was under $150 including tip.

This establishment is a joke. Came into town with friends for a football game for my birthday and wanted a nice casual evening and dinner. We had 6 total in our party. When we arrived the ambiance and the table we had seemed amazing this restaurant was nice and quiet, only 12 or so tables inside and no one was outside because of the weather. Then reality hit. 35 minutes for waters. 60 minutes for food orders of any kind. Then we got complimentary bruschetta and bread, the best and only good part of this dinner. Then we received and ate our apps and ate them and the waitress comes back 20 minutes later and says okay I'll put your entrees in now. This is 2 hours in. We've seen wait staff 3 times total at this time. The food was okay very bland and all cold, thankful for the four $35 bottles of Josh Cab to help ease the pain. Disappointed mainly because you expect an "Italian" restaurant in this location to be genuine. It's not, far from it actually. It seems like a failed Mexican restaurant masked to be Italian. GRAND FINALE The waitress and manager were the worst part of all of this. she wasn't nice or welcoming at all. She didn't know anything about the menu or what the food was or consisted of, she just awkwardly laughed when we asked any questions on the menu. She didn't check on us or refresh drinks. She came back with our bill, $350ish, sets it on the table and says "NEW JERSEY STATE LAW REQUIRES YOU TO TIP ME AT LEAST 20%" and walks away. Dumbfounded I asked to speak to manager because who says that, people that know they didn't earn it. The manager came over and it was soon to be realized this wasn't the first and it won't be the last time people receive this HORRIBLE service. He had excuses and wasn't trying to hear anything negative at all, it was deny deny deny. This place sucks. Avoid it. ****UDPATE: The comment below from the Owner/Manager is a complete lie and a fabricated timeline, which goes to show you the length of pitifulness he will use to mask their wrong-doing. But that's the same way he was when we asked to speak with him in regards to our experience so I can't say I didn't expect it.

We are visiting from out of town and let me tell you, this place far exceeded expectations! The Fettuccine Alfredo was the best I’ve ever had. The wait staff was pleasant, attentive and professional. The live music makes you want to dance as well! Great place for big parties (we had 10)

Amazing, amazing vibes. Feels like you're visiting someone over for dinner; feels very personal. The staff is attentive and amazing (they also accommodated a large party very last second). The food is out of the world. I had the salmon and it was great. Also, had live music which just contributed to the atmosphere as people were getting up and slow dancing. Love, love, love.

I wish I could write a good review but we got there and the restaurant was abandoned. All the lights were on, including the little outdoor houses which we really wanted to dine in. There was an “open” sign on the pavement outside, and the lights were on inside. We couldn’t get in because the door was locked and there was no one in sight. Not sure what happened but it was very weird and creepy.

Our friends and my wife and I traveled to Clifton this weekend for a delicious meal at Milano. Milano is an Italian restaurant with a full bar and outdoor seating. The unique outdoor seating is very interesting. It consists of individually heated enclosed huts. On the night we dined, the temperature was in the 40's and we were able to dine without wearing jackets. The heater was excellent and provided a cozy dining experience. We began with appetizers of onion soup, pasta fagoli, seared scallops and chilean sea bass. All were very good. For entrees we selected the veal madeira, veal sorrentiono and chicken giambotta. All came with sides of vegetables and roasted potatoes. Portions were not overly large but satisfying and prices were moderate. Desserts were an apple crisp with ice cream, creme brulee, and brownie sundaes with a chocolate liqueur. All were very good. Waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating. Milano was a good choice for a cozy Italian dinner.

Have a lot of mixed feelings about this place. Let's start with the positives -- 1. Start off your meal with a delicious free appetizer of bruschetta (arguably the best dish of the night) 2. The manager was superb and hilarious 3. We enjoyed our meal in this cute outdoor cabin with Christmas lights and it was very private and cozy 4. Chicken parm and calamari was the second two best dishes. They were good nothing special -- exactly what is expected from an Italian restaurant 5. The garlic shrimp sauce is FABULOUS but you only get 5 shrimps Negatives 1. Shrimp scampi had 0 flavor. Was bland and definitely needed more salt not to mention SAUCE. It felt like we were eating plain boiled noodles with a few shrimp on top 2. Our server was very sassy to us and not at all welcoming 3. The bucatini is not regular at bucatini (the noodles don't have holes in them?). Tastes like spaghetti Overall, some of us had a good time with average food while others had a very subpar experience with below average food. Price is ok but probably wont be back.

Good food, desserts were delicious. Pistachio Ice cream cake,& awesome entertainment. The waitresses seemed overwhelmed with the big crowd. Would definitely go back there again.?

Place is a dump, terrible service and the food is horrible. I'm sure they'll close soon. Don't waste your time go up the street to Mario's for real Italian cuisine!
