I decided to give them a try for this Easter season (I typically go to the one further up the street) and found that I had mixed feelings about the store. The people there are super nice and friendly. I tried to sample all the things I would normally buy elsewhere. Their to-go hot plate was good (I had chicken marsala with mashed potatoes and a side of beets). Because the store has limited display cases, the sides are on the counter behind the cases and can't be seen which makes it difficult to choose what you want ... they have to explain it to you. I liked my choices. I bought their homemade garlic kielbasa which was also good. I normally buy soup mixes and farmer cheese, neither of which they carry so I ended up having to go to my regular store anyway. The true test of any Polish deli for me are the pierogi. They only had frozen ones (I am not a fan of frozen anything) but I bought the sauerkraut/mushroom and the potato/cheese. My Mom was an amazing cook and baker, so I know that it will be difficult for anyone to match her skills, but I found the dough too loose and the filling had way too much pepper in both varieties. Worst of all, their 'dozen' bag only had 9 pierogi inside :0 Lastly, I also tried some of their desserts. The poppy roll was tasty but a little dry as was the peach cheesecake. Overall their pricing in in-line with other delis, perhaps a touch higher.
