Just had the lasagna and it was amazing!!! The people who write bad reviews are lucky they even have this kind of food in the Clinton area. Go drive 1 hour or more to New York City and you still won’t find better. I love lasagna I love lasagna!!!!Kid-friendliness: The waiters and waitress were so nice my kids loved it there

This was my favorite go to when it was The Clean Plate. Beautiful historic Clinton, with a beautiful one of a kind view and the food was terrible. Nothing fresh, frozen, basic food with equally bad service. Wanted to give this new place a try as the spot is one of a kind- sad to see it was replaced by basic frozen Italian.

We discovered the River Mill View by accident, when our usual place in Clinton, Dora's, was too full to take our party of eight and suggested we try here instead. We did, and did not regret it. We were seated at a table with a great view of the river, by staff who were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, and we discovered an excellent local wine on their list. All in all an exceptional experience, and we will certainly be returning on our next visit to Clinton.

Nice atmosphere, but the lady who served us was definitely rude. We came in on Friday night, and instead of clearing our plates between courses, she told us to move our plates in a very direct and curt way which I found strange. Shouldn’t she consider takint away our entree trays before serving dessert rather than after? She didn’t make us feel very comfortable. Aside from this, our table dropped several hundred dollars and didn’t love the food. It was all very mediocre and potentially even bad. The ravioli had too much thyme and the chicken wasn’t cooked the best. Pretty disappointing.
