Came here for Easter and was pleasantly surprised! The only disappointment was that they forgot the caviar on the salmon tartar. Also I didn’t care for the escargot but I think that’s just a personal preference on taste. Overall I will be returning!

The duck was the best duck I’ve ever had, be it in France, or America…Staff were helpful and well mannered.Happy hour prices are great, wine on the wine list is obviously better.Decor reminds me of an upmarket French restaurant or possibly Hungarian restaurant.Lots of elegant space in the main restaurant with well set white table cloths, which runs parallel to a great bar area with less formal tables.

The food is good, not excellent. For the price it needs to be a bit better. Same for the drinks. Been a few times it’s a cool place … I would go more often otherwise.

I haven’t even left the restaurant and I just have to leave my review. This place is incredible. Great atmosphere and the food is exquisite. I just had one of the best meals of my life here on Valentine’s Day and I cannot wait to come back and try more.

Who charges $6 for a still water (filtered tap).. get a grip man i guess that covers the owner paying the waiters salary per hour trash move right there defines this whole placesThe food is a 6/10 and i ordered the best stuff - it’s cool the kid menu has salmon as an entree I’ve never seen that and that was very good and the friesNice decor , if your going to charge $15 for a cask beer atleast make it a proper pint and learn how to pour a beer it was half headSmall portions don’t come here if you are a big hungry guy you will have to spend $300 , which i did, without desert and coffeeSaturday 630 you will be waiting at your table with no service most likely for 20-30 min, no one checked up on us, and i ordered a bottle of wine (which was nice) but atleast stop and say ”how’s everything” my family has owned two restaurants and I waited tables in little Italy one of the busiest places on the east coast - there's always time to stop and ask how a customer is doingBut you know, this restaurant will be a typical 3.9 which is exactly what it is in a really rich area of Bergen county and probably never have an issue and it has a really nice outside seating area and it’s a great place to have a date so you’ll stay afloatHey, atleast they didn’t charge me auto 20% gratuity- i gave more.. but no one likes seeing that

My fife and I had an early dinner on January 10, 2024. We were attracted by the fact that it was a brasserie since we adore French food. We were also intrigued by a number of 4-5 star reviews.Let me start with a conclusion: This was, by far, the worst dinner we have had in the last 5 years.Starters:Tuna Tartar with black sesame: tasteless, except for being overly acidic.Moules a la Provencale (P.E.I. mussels) with tomato concasse. Concasse means blanched, skinned and finely chopped tomatoes. Instead, these were supermarket-type sun-dried tomato with skin immersed in a tasteless broth. Mains:A $24 + Tax + Tip Le Grand Burger consisting of two thin patties of what appeared to be a frozen and reheated "something". Tasteless cheese and a couple of pickle slices. Pommes frites tasted as if these were frozen for decades and reheated just before being served. Burger King food will taste grand in comparison.A $24 + Tip +Tax Grilled Spanish Octopus consisted of one(!) mushy tentacle resting on a bed of Sea Island Red Peas. Sea Island Red Peas are typically from the Carolinas and are an heirloom variety of simple cowpeas or black-eyed peas, a Low Country and Southern staple. What were these peas doing in a French restaurant is a good question.Wine: Rose wine was a "good" match for the food since it had an awful watery taste.Service: Our waitress could not pronounce the name of a single dish despite the fact that almost all the dishes on the menu are written in French.Ambiance: Does it really matter when food is this bad?Our recommendation: Do not waste your time and money in this restaurant.

Stopped in to Cafe Memere for a quick brunch and it surpassed all expectations! The beautiful ambience and friendly staff were the perfect accompaniment for the delicious food. We had the crepe special as well as the scramble of the day. Definitely recommend!
