This business does not care about their costumers at all. We ordered a bed and specifically stated that we wanted it painted white or we would not buy it. This was mentioned numerous times during our conversation. The owner agreed and told us that she’ll get us done for us within a few days. It took them almost 2 weeks to deliver the bed. They delivered it and it was not painted. They told me I never said anything about painting it a different color. That’s a straight up LIE. There was no apologies, no nothing. In fact they accused me of lying and said I never asked for it. They didn’t feel bad at all. They didn’t try to fix the issue. Offered nothing. No help. Money is not a problem and I would have paid more if needed. They don’t value their costumers and it’s a shame. My family has been buying furniture from them for years and this is the kind of treatment we get. The whole situation was mean on their end. I’m in disbelief how they run their business and get away with this type of treatment.

We specifically asked in our order that the item be delivered into our house to an upstairs bedroom. Our request was totally ignored and they selected a shipper who will dump the item outside our house (during Winter). I now need to figure out how to get the item into our home. I wish that companies would care enough about the customer to think about the entire order process. This lack of customer empathy has left a real sour taste in our mouths.

I bought shelving and a refurbished dresser almost a year ago. The dresser has 7 drawers of which I can only open 3. I have contacted them multiple times to come and fix it, but they do not respond and have not fixed it. This is unusable junk in my house that I spent a lot of money on. The shelving unit has wallpaper in back with a very noticeable seam and is crooked. This is over priced and I have gotten better quality pieces from people selling refurbished furniture on Facebook market.

Don't waste your time with this business, horrible customer service! I purchased a buffet out of their Etsy store, and regardless of how many times I messaged them about a delivery, I received no response. When the item arrived by UPS, I was not home, and it was left with a paralyzed and (obvious) cognitive brain-injured person. I had no idea when it was shipped or coming since the shop does not respond. He Signed for it, and the driver left the box Crate in my garage. When I arrived home and had someone help me unpack it, there was a hole in the buffet's back, and one leg was broken. I immediately contacted the seller, who, of course, did not respond. I opened an Etsy case that allowed me to be refunded for buffet and shipping. Finally, the seller responded and said he would contact me with details on when the item would be picked up. I waited and when I heard nothing I contacted the store again. At that time, the store said to discard the buffet. I paid to have the item shipped to my home because I didn't have the means to transport it; therefore, discarding this item is impossible. I called the shop and was told I should have opened the package while the UPS driver was there so if there was damage, he could take it back. It took nearly 20 minutes to unpack this freight delivery. NO UPS driver will wait for you to unpack an item that long. Now I have to hire someone to come to my home and pay disposal fees to the dump since it's not useable and couldn't even donate. Save yourself the heartache and purchase elsewhere as the customer service is horrible! Just look at their reviews.

I ordered furniture from them on Etsy; spent a couple grand. Big mistake. No communication from them; no response to messages about when they would ship. Then, Jim messages, 'We will let you know... we are expecting a shipment next week'. This made no sense. Did they not have the stuff they sold me? More silence in response to my questions. Then they said that they were painting the furniture. Suspicious, that they actually didn't have the furniture, I asked for a photo. No response. Last Monday, they messaged, 'We will send you photos by Friday.' Friday and Saturday passed, no photo. When I pressed for a ship date, Jim responded, 'Next week....' which, I pointed out, is not a date. No response. Ultimately, I contacted my credit card fraud department. They said they refunded me today. I'm hopeful but skeptical. No credit has yet appeared im my account. These people are sketchy. Their 'store' is sketchy. Run away

Horrible customer service. Just try to find someone to wait on you. They act like they're doing you a big favor by acknowledging your presence. Since I was just shopping there for Dixie Belle products, I'll drive a longer distance just because to get better service.

I placed an order with The Painted Cottage via Etsy.com on May 3, 2020. I received an email stating my order had been delivered and another email stating my order had been shipped - on the same day. I never received my order. I made multiple attempts to contact The Painted Cottage but received no reply. I had to file a fraud/theft dispute with my credit card company to receive a refund. I found this is a common trait for this company, taking people's money and not sending the purchased item and not replying to the consumer's email.

Horrible customer service. I walked in to the place and looked around, and couldn't seem to find anyone working there. I did find their half eaten lunch. After looking for someone and wandering around the place I was "greeted" by a lovely lady who didn't look up from her phone the entire time I was talking to her. After finding out that virtually none of the prices of the stuff is available in store I visited the website to find out that everything is price gouging at best. The best part of this place is leaving it.

Having many difficulties with this company. Have emailed and left messages and no response. They have such nice things, but I'm now cancelling an order for lack of attention and have declined the charges and have advise of same. Wish they were a better option.

I ordered the Painted Cottage Shabby Chic French Bed Queen / King ... It took much longer than requested for it to arrive ... they failed to return many calls and emails so I was forced to file a complaint with paypal ... then I finally get the return message etc asking for me to remove the complaint .. it was beyond 14 weeks I paid and still bed so I refused .. 10 days later it arrived damaged I sent pics they said they would send touch paint ( which never arrived ) I showed pics of damage and paint is suppose to repair damage? This cost over 2k with shipping looks cheaply made and shoddy workmanship .. no returns allowed of course we already tried to sell on craigslist for $500 no takers it isn't worth that it looks that cheap etc . One of the worst customer service companies I ever dealt with ... avoid at all costs
