“Have had enjoyable experiences in past three years....then Saturday, Dec 9, we had a terrible experience.1. Our reservation made on the 9th was acknowledged when we entered. We were told it would be a few minutes while our booth was cleared and to be seated. About ten minutes later a couple sat next to us. The receptionist that told us to wait,told the couple next to us that a booth was available to them. She then told us no booth was available for us.2. We were seated in the back room. Placed our order for two delicious cocktails and one Bavaria pretzel and one Bavaria pretzel to take home; one order for beef stew and one order for chicken piccata.3. The empty 4tables around us were filled and shortly thereafter received their orders.finished and left.4. After 1 hour and a half the waitress,who was busy, came to us and said our orders were given to another table! Also,our beef stew order couldn't be completed because they ran out of beef stew !!In our years going to Huddy's from the strip mall to the new location, we never have experienced such a frustrating and unenjoyable experience. Johnathan was training him and also did an awesome job of stepping back and letting Mark take the lead and jumping in if needed. “My parents found Pine Tavern to be their new regular spot for the past few years. I’m blown away by the variety of food they have and they’re sure to have something for everyone. We’ve never had a bad experience or bad food here and highly recommend the paella, pappardella and the cuts of meat are excellent. “Service was amazing I forgot her name I wish I didn't but it was like she was made for hospitality she and my lady was engaging in a great conversation and she made sure we had everything that we needed. Even though I got a basic cheese steak and an order of buffalo wings The Cheesesteak was made with real steak cut in the blocks not the cheap stuff. “I have loved this place since the original in Little Silver when they were lunch and a small dinner venue. They had the best homemade soup. Now that they have expanded and our primarily breakfast and lunch the are still amazing. And I've been to multiple....Toms River, Long Branch, Sea Girt, Cherry Hill, etc. Consistent no matter which one you go to. And the coffee is amazing too. I love my French presses!“

The food is delicious and the servers friendly and attentive.Normally I only order homemade hash, but Gloria (our server) exclaimed that theirs was really good (even out of the can) and she was right. It was perfectly made and tasty, with crunchy well done edges.It was crowded when we arrived (noon), but plenty of seating after 1pm.The diner is not wheelchair accessible, but there is an outdoor space that may be accessible in the warm months (outdoor space was closed today). There are steps leading up the front door, and the inside is pretty tight, as far as maneuverability.Few parking places out front, but plenty of street parking on a quiet street.Will definitely return!!“

A bit pricey for the size of the "little" hero but who doesn't over charge today? Only probelm is they seem to have has a gnat problem over the summer. “Had my daughters first birthday party here after looking at multiple other restaurants. This restaurant had the nicest party room and the food was delicious. The day of the party, I was able to come early to decorate and set up. The owner and his family were very kind and helped set up the room and accommodated our requests.They continually checked in throughout the event to make sure we were happy and if we needed anything. The waitresses made sure we had enough food and the kids were all given kids meals which they loved. My guests raved about the chicken francese and baked clams.It was a great day and I felt very at peace knowing how helpful staff was and didn't have to worry about the party going smoothly. If you like shrimp they have a Portuguese shrimp dish which is always amazing as it is served in a bread bowl with some amazing gravy. The Maloney burger is another classic that you should try as it is an excellent burger served on an English muffin. The atmosphere is dark and cozy and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is an actual bar there as well with high top tables if you want to go by yourself.Kid-friendliness: They have a decent kids menu for those particular eaters. “Went there for repast after a viewing at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home up Adelphia Road. About 30 people attended. Buffet ìncluded mixed salad with dressing on the side, pasta salad, hot crisp rolls and butter, seasoned mixed hot vegetables, roasted potatoes, penne with vodka sauce, chicken francaise, sliced roast pork, dessert, and coffee. Other banquet selections are offered on their website.Used plates were cleared promptly and pitchers of water at the tables were refilled as needed. The meal was held in a private room. There is also the restaurant which has musical entertainment and a banquet hall. Plenty of parking.“

“Jack’s is amazing! I hosted my daughter’s birthday there recently. Nick, the owner and chef, did an incredible job supporting me through the planning process. We did a pizza decorating activity for the kids. The kids loved making their own personalized pizzas. The theme of the party was Taylor Swift, they were so accommodating letting us put the Taylor Swift concert on all the TVs. We had a buffet of food for all the adults. Again, Nick and his team were so helpful in deciding what food and how much food would be best. The food was fantastic, all of the adults came up to tell us how great the food was. Nick also helped me secure entertainment with a magician and karaoke machine.Overall I can’t thank them enough for helping us throw a great party for our daughter.“

It was good, but the idea it was advertised as containing scallops was a deciding factor in choosing that particular dish.“
