The service was adequate. The food was very good. I had the onion soup which arrived nice and hot with plenty of cheese draped over the sides of the bowl. The Rack of Veal was prepared to perfection and the chef allowed mashed potatoes instead of roasted potatoes which I enjoyed. We had an enjoyable evening. The crab cakes my wife and daughter ordered had little if any filler. My duck was prepared perfectly. We had the buffalo cauliflower and it was delicious

The menu is long and varied and the food is very good. I like the colonial style rooms. The bar area is lively, the dining room quiet. Service in the bar area was on the slow side, as food was slow coming out of the kitchen, and our waitress also mixed drinks behind the bar. It needs a dedicated bartender to relieve food servers from this duty. I'll try the dining room next time to see if there is an improvement.
