Absolutely spectacular. I've been meaning to visit this place for years and now I'm so glad I did. It's like going to visit a friend's house. So welcoming, like being home. The food was fresh. Lots of options for seafood. Portions were resonab9. Not huge but sufficient. I would definitely recommend.

I was there for a family birthday dinner party of 8. It was a very intimate space, very small, it just so happen it was a Sunday and it was not a big crowd so it was perfect.

I picked up flounder stuffed with crab to make at home because I've been wanting to stop by here. The space has a genuine old school Italian vibe - it's small, clean and cozy for dining in with a seafood counter at the back wall. The fish ended up being fantastic - so fresh and delicious without additional seasoning!

Food was absolutely delish. Got the spicy crab soup. A smidge salty but that is me just knit picking. Very very good. Then got the muscles (spicy) not much spice and was really just red sauce on top but the muscles were fresh and large. Husband loved them. Then I got the shrimp and stuffed mushroom scampi and oh my LORD was this amazing. So fresh so good so much flavor and all in all just such a great dish. Husband got the stuffed flounder. Beyond amazing as well. First time here and really filled up prior to our meals which was unfortunate but still really enjoyed it. Secret little restaurant that will definitely become a regular date night spot!!

Place is so cute. Very Mom and Pop. Wish I could give it more stars because the man who served us was so nice and accomodating, however, the food was just OK. Clam chowder was not good. Trying to support local business but if you want really good seafood, this is not the place. Sorry.

I would probably give Marino’s 3.5 - 3.75 stars, but 3 is too low and I don’t wanna hurt their overall score. It’s a staple of downtown Cranford, and I’ve been coming here with my family for years. I just returned with my wife and toddler son for the first time in awhile and it’s exactly as I remember it. It has a tiny dining room with no more than 12 tables and a refrigerated display case with fresh fish and shellfish for sale as well. No bells and whistles, very adequate. The service is friendly and accommodating, but can get a bit forgetful when they get busy. The star of the show here is the fresh fish. Like the atmosphere, the food doesn’t have any frills, but it’s fresh, clean, and tasty. The scallops I had tonight were plump and firm, and my wife enjoyed her fish tacos very much. Marino’s is an enjoyable experience, especially if you know what to expect: fresh seafood in a basic and simple yet friendly atmosphere.Note about the pictures: tonight’s dinner was from Cranford’s restaurant week menu, so it may not reflect the normal a la carte portions.

A must stop when back in my home town - clams oreganato, fried fish sando and a hari kari. Perfection.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Maureen took care of our small group of 4. We enjoyed our lunch. The oreganato haddock was out of this world. The coffee was perfect too. I am hoping to come back here soon.

Staff and chef are very willing to please. Accommodated my mom's special requests. Tasty and fresh. A bit pricey but who isn't nowadays. Wish the place was a little bit bigger.
