I never thought I would be the one to write about the racism, but if it’s that, then I felt it today at this restaurant!!!The waitress clearly showed discontent of serving us at the table full of brown people. I went to Chef Mediterranean for lunch today and the waitress was so rude that she kept giving us an attitude as if she is not happy to serve us. She also wouldn’t come when I requested her to come to our table while the restaurant had only two other tables occupied. However, I noticed that she went running to the table with white ethnicity. She gave vinegar and olive oil with bread to all the other tables with white ethnicity and didn’t give us. When I asked her, she said we don’t usually give but I’ll get for you as if it was a favor. That was ridiculous!!! I even asked her if she was having a good day and pat came a reply that she can’t help it if I think she is not!!!

Had an excellent meal here. Hummus was incredible. Mixed grill? Wow. Only thing that was meh was the falafel. Cooked a bit hard for my taste but everything else was perfect. My waitress was very kind and helpful. I'll most definitely be back

Jeez, 4.7 stars? You people who reviewed this have VERY low standards or questionable taste buds. The shrimp special in cream sauce was brutally tasteless. The falafels were ok, rice pilaf was pretty good but, c’mon, shrimp is pretty easy to make!

This is a wonderful, delicious restaurant with generous portions. The appetizers are great and the mains are excellent. I love their gyro meat, Shepard salad and assorted appetizer plate. If you enjoy Turkish food you can’t go wrong with this restaurant.

I've been here about 5 times now. The first time here, I really enjoyed it. The next 4 times, I became obsessed! The food is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented! All of the staff were extremely pleasant and very sweet! Never rushed and always had a great night. It's one of my go-to places for sure!

We were delighted to discover that Samdan's original owner opened a new restaurant right around the corner but, although the menu is very similar to the original Samdan menu (we were regulars at Samdan for over 20 years) the quality of some of the food doesn't measure up. My wife had the lamb chops and she said they were, hands-down, the worst lamb chops she has ever had. She suspected they were par-boiled before grilling and that they were totally without taste. My Iskander, however, wasn't bad at all; it wasn't great, like Ibo used to make in Fairview. That was legendary, but this Iskander is "merely" good. The service was attentive but it is disconcerting to see the employees retreat to looking at their cell phones when not attending to the patrons. I know they're bored just standing around but they are far more attentive to their electronic devices than people dining in their restaurant. There must be a solution to this. I see it a lot.
Great food and atmosphere. Local gem rivaling the best eateries in NYC. Highly recommend. Vegetarian options available and parking

I wanted to like this place but nope. The cous cous with grilled vegetables was actually steam tray veggies that were mush The chicken adana was dry - how is that possible? The hummus was very good. Go to Europe Cafe for better food.

Order delivery, delivery service was fine but I asked for some white sauce for the chef combination platter and it was not given. Order $50 plus with food. Food was good, but next time I know to order from Samadan, wait better service overall.
