This is very misleading. There are still links to a retail menu, and outdated pictures showing a place to order food inside. I wasted my time driving here, only to be really confused when I walked in and found no Smoke Shack. I promise to remove this review once updated, but until then leaving this here as a warning for others like myself looking for some local bbq takeout.

We used Smoke Shack BBQ for our wedding in October 2019 and it was the perfect option for our large but casual, country wedding. Ben the owner was wonderful to work with and was open to any requests we could have had- not limited to BBQ! His staff were very friendly and took care of everything with absolutely no issues. We recommend to everyone we know planning events of any size!

I ordered a beef brisket platter. Brisket is not wood smoked, there is no bark on it and somewhat chewy/hard. Probably steamed or oven baked at a higher temperature than what it should have been. Overall tastes okay but you can have better BBQ for the money.

Delicious food, fabulous prices , great portion sizes! Definitely get the pulled chicken or pork, the Mac and cheese , and my husband loved the cucumber salad!

The counter is located inside the convenience store. The service is quick and the food tastes good. At $9 for a St. Louis rib plate, I thought I was stealing from them.

So disappointed! Ribs were terrible. Hard as rocks. I picked them up about 4:30 so they clearly sat in warmer all day. It was a struggle to break them apart and chew them. Coleslaw was nothing but raw cabbage and carrots with no slaw dressing. Mac and cheese was ok but very bland. Cornbread was cold. Step it up, boys! Poor effort today.
The meat was good. Sides weren't too good except the apples. Portions for the sides were small. Won't be back

Visited this location today and was pleasantly surprised! The ribs were really good and pulled pork was good also. Had a few sides of Mac n cheese , Cole slaw and potato salad all were very tasty! Nice little hidden gem inside the Hartford Market ! Stop by and see for yourself! Very tasty!!

Pretty disappointed in our meals from here tonight. I don't think any part of the meal was above a poor rating. We had ribs which were tough and and had no flavor of smoke, brisket which was dry and tough and kielbasa which was mushy on the inside to the point that it fell out of it's own casing. The sides were no better. The cucumber salad was chopped cucumbers with peels and tomatoes. The coleslaw was awful, hard and dry. The beans were plain. The pieces of cornbread were average. Because all of the items are served in one styrofoam container the cold items become warm and the juices all run together. The slice of cornbread is all mixed in with the other food. I would have called the owner to review but he is not very friendly to deal with so I doubt it would have been well received.

Wasn't expecting much from a bbq joint in the back of a convenience store, but was I ever pleasantly surprised! Ordered a pulled pork sandwich and not only was it big and delicious, but with a side and cornbread only $7.00! The scratch made baked beans were a real treat as well. Righteous bbq!
