“I chose the vedge experience to try 3 dishes and desert for $65/person. All the plates were not only uniquely thought through and delicious, but also presented like works of art. I really enjoyed the creative balance of flavors they used from only plant sources that even mimicked non-vegetarian dishes I've had before. Menu rotates seasonal so I will be returning soon and is well accomodating for gluten free patrons. An experience well worth trying“

“I love the food here so much! I became a vegetarian during the pandemic because I realized how much environmental damage the meat industry causes and how they have no repercussions for any of the harm they cause. At first, it was hard! There’s few vegetarian restaurants out there, and those that have vegetarian options are normally not that good. Let’s face it. Most veggie-style versions of food aren’t as tasty when you’ve eaten meat your whole life. But let me tell you, this place breaks that stereotype. It was hard learning to cook again since I’ve mostly known how to prepare different meat-based dishes my entire life. (With few exceptions) But this place was truly inspiring in that way. I learned that anything you could want could be made without the use of animal products. It’s life-changing to taste the possibilities that well-seasoned and prepared food can bring. I have taken my family, friends, and coworkers here since 2020, and I will never not love this place. It even holds a special place in my heart for another reason. My husband and I ordered our wedding feast from them and it just added to the magic of that special day. ❤️“

“I revisit Joy Cafe (which is the newest name/incarnation for Soy Cafe) whenever I'm in NoLibs. It always leaves me feeling incredibly healthy and happy. Soy/Joy Cafe is in my top two vegan restaurants in all of Philly. My favorite dish here is the ramen with BBQ seitan. The seitan is just so very tasty. Everything here, from the seitan, to the vegan cream cheese, is homemade. My husband gets the carrot lox sandwich which includes the housemade cream cheeze along with red onions, carrot lox, and more, on many choices of really excellent bread. Don't leave without getting a smoothie! I tend to get the Green Giant, but the Coco Loco is also really yummy. Eat in the back garden on a nice day!“

“Hibiscus. There’s no other place to get vegan food in West Philly. Period. The curry chickpea wrap, salmon wrap, and Jamaican tofu are my absolute favorites. All of their juices and smoothies are so fresh and delicious!! They have these new jackfruit patties that are packed with flavor and delicious curry seasoning. I’ve been coming here since middle school, and they never disappoint. It can be a little crowded in the afternoons but the food is absolutely worth it. “My parents brought me here while I was visiting from out of town. The food was delicious and they had an impressive number of dessert options (I tried the masala chai ice cream and it was wonderful — the ginger and other spices were very fresh). The staff here treat my elderly parents like family and we were greeted and served with a lot of warmth. They provided us with fresh rice to take home along with our leftovers. I hope to return.“

It’s the S10 Roast Beef Hot sliced thin, cheddar cheese and horseradish. It also comes with cucumber, lettuce and tomato that I don’t get. If you like roast beef this is the best around. It’s made me very synical and resort to competitors like Chopt and JustSalad.The salad I am eating right now, however, reminds me of the magic I experienced the first time I ever tried Sweet Green at the original location in Georgetown. It can’t be beat.The Kale doesn’t have huge stems, the service I received from the tall man with long dread locks was incredible.
