The best small sushi place in the East Brunswick area! The waitress is a sweet heart and their all very friendly. The food is amazing and the price is super great. I personally recommend the Bento Box or the large platter if you have a big party.

This is our go-to sushi take out restaurant. Never disappoints. They are very consistent. My husband enjoyed the chicken teriyaki bento box. The box also includes roasted veggies, miso soup and salad. I always order the salmon lover roll and occasionally the seaweed salad or kani salad. I’m not sure how their table side service is, but their take out service is great.

I recently visited Sushi and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the food was decent, I found it to be only average, deserving a rating of 3 out of 5. However, what truly dampened my experience was the lackluster service. Not only did they forget to bring me a bowl for sauce, but the server seemed more preoccupied with chatting than attending to the needs of the customers. This negligence significantly affected my dining experience, leading to a service rating of 2 out of 5. Overall, while the food may be passable, the lack of attention to detail and subpar service make it difficult for me to recommend this establishment.

This place used to be located in the Honk Kong supermarket, now it is opening up in the misstate mall, East Brunswick New Jersey.I would go here everyday after work, it was great because they stayed open until 9:30 pm, sometimes 10:00 pm. Most places, including competition in the town are open until 9:00 pm only. The Kani salad is great ? and the Bento boxes ? are 10/10z. I very much enjoyed how this used to be located in the Honk Kong Supermarket - I would wonder around he market looking for dessert after having a wholesome meal from East Hana.T the same time, I’m glad they are moving to a more lively location with better exposure, they deserve the good business. Now Golden East Garden will be direct competitors !

Im not sure about the food however recently I ordered a sushi box to go for my child and there was a single metal staple found on top on of one of the sushis. We were horrified and very grateful he noticed before consuming. We called to inform them of the incident and their sole response was "thank you for letting us know" nothing more. we will never be returning.

I'm dismayed to leave this 1-star review for East Hana Sushi. My recent experience there was far from the standard one would expect from a reputable sushi restaurant. The servers did not show any effort to go above and beyond their basic duties. Merely bringing food to the table is a fundamental task, not something that warrants special appreciation in the form of a tip. However, what truly marred the experience was the staff's approach to soliciting tips. They resorted to publicly embarrassing customers, loudly calling out for tips in front of friends and other patrons. This tactic is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful, making customers feel small and uncomfortable.Good service is about adding value to the dining experience. It could be as simple as offering to wrap up leftovers for take-home, engaging in friendly conversation, providing insights about the menu, or even a brief tutorial on using chopsticks for those interested. These gestures make a dining experience memorable and tip-worthy.Sadly, East Hana Sushi misses the mark on understanding the essence of good service. My advice to them: if you expect a tip, strive to earn it by enhancing the customer's experience. As it stands, I cannot recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of other sushi places where the staff understand and respect the nuances of quality service.
