Really good vegan food and all around chill vibe. Get an herbal tea next door at the Zucchini Bar, and then some vegan ice cream at Magic Cones....all next to each other! Awesome block in Newarks West Ward.

Very good vegetarian Caribbean restaurant . Customer service is immaculate , but if you want to save money then you better head elsewhere. That's if you eat a lot like I do

After celebrating our birthdays and hungover, my non-vegan friends all said, "this is EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED." As a vegan, you always feel a lot of pressure bringing friends to a unfamiliar vegan restaurant, but the FOOD DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The HEALTHY INGREDIENTS on the menu, the FLAVOR-BLAST marinating the food and the SATISFACTION of FULLNESS left us all happy. My friend loved the food so much, we actually went back the next day! 100% Vegan. PS: No indoor seating allowed

Every time we eat here, the food & smoothies are amazing!!! Food is fresh, the price is reasonable, the service is fast & this is one of the best restaurants to come to Newark, NJ!

The food and energy were amazing! I shared a platter with a friend from out of town, she loved it. What they do with mushrooms is unbelievable. The flavor combinations are delicious. No need to worry about soy or gluten, what a relief. I have eaten in many different vegan restaurants, this by far is one I don't need to ask a million questions regarding quality and ingredients.

Authentic healthy food that nourishes your soul and body...and delicious! Always stop in when I'm in the area. Don't pass up the chance to try it.

What every vegan craves for... I would definitely recommend to my vegan/plant based friends!

Wild Black rice and Fried mushrooms are my new go to!! Absolutely delicious and alkaline eating. They make this awesome red sauce that they smother their mushrooms with and it is such a great balance of sweet, savory and earthy flavors. They sell Sea Moss gel as well, cash only but a good size for $17.

Went to this place yesterday and I must say I was impressed! Had the wild rice platter with squash, black beans and fried mushrooms and it was amazing! I'll definitely be returning!

This review is for both the Zucchini Bar and Blueberry Cafe. On September 3rd, I ordered from Blueberry Cafe Juice Bar via Ubereats after a friend's rave review. I ordered the Alkaline Power Platter + Coco Mango Smoothie. It was delicious! Super dense and nutrient packed. Yesterday, I was in the neighborhood so I decided to stop by to check out the store and order another Alkaline Power Platter. There were 3 gentlemen talking with their masks down hovered around the counter when I entered. I hesitantly approached the counter although the employee behind the register waved me to come closer. I told him I was trying to social distance and didnt want to walk in the middle of their convo. They made way for me to stand along the long edge of the counter 6 feet away from them. The store has a nice selection of herbs and grains by the pound. I was disappointed they were sold out of most of the menu but I got some squash soup (which was bland), a bag of pink Himalayan sea salt and strawberry smoothie for $27. I went next store to the Zucchini bar while the gentleman made my smoothie. At the Zucchini Bar there was a young lady taking her time to assist an elder customer. She did not bother to greet me when I entered which was not a huge deal since that gave me a little time to review the chalk board menu by the door. I was standing 6 feet behind the older woman placing her order when another woman came in with a stack of papers covering her mouth and nose. I was uncomfortable by her inefficient face covering so I moved further into the store. The young lady's coworker stepped into the corner by the menu to take a personal call with his mask pulled down below his chin. The young employee eventually addressed me and asked what I would like to order I asked if she still had donuts she said no they are sold out so I told her I would like a slice of blueberry cheese cake and mango cheese cake. I waited about 10 minutes for her to finish helping the older lady. While I waited the woman with the paper cover her mouth opened the door to cough outside. I should have left then but I stayed. When I got to the counter I added a Kale salad to my order and the young lady told me just so you know we stop serving food at 4pm. I told her it would've been nice had she mentioned that when I came in the door and was studying the menu. She proceeded to go back and forth with me and say well since I initially asked about pastries she didnt think it was necessary to mention any other food items. CUSTOMER SERVICE NOTE: If you greet your customers as soon as the enter your establishment and ask is this your first time here? You open an opportunity to engage and educate your customers on your menu and policies. Back to the review...I also asked the young lady was her coworker suppose to be working while he was taking a personal call in the corner with his mask down? She said yea but it's okay. I said no it's not okay because he could've been helping me while I was waiting for you help the older lady. I also mentioned the woman with the paper over her face and the young lady said that was the owner. Which then totally made sense as to why the customer service was so poor. The owner did not present as an owner and was not even following state law to protect herself, her employees and customers by wearing proper face coverings. She was in the store trying to order food for herself and acting confused that so many items she wanted were sold out. I paid $33 for 2 slices of cheese cake and a Kale salad. The blueberry cheese cake was the last and I should have left it there. There was no graham cracker crust, the blueberry gel was nasty and the cake was dry. The kale salad was basic. The mango cheese cake was the best - fresh, moist, perfectly sweet graham cracker crust. Overall Im very disappointed that I spent $60 between these two establishments. The Zucchini Bar has an even larger selection of fresh herbs so I will likely go back to continue to support black owned business and have a

I love to support black businesses however the food is over price I got an eight dollar porridge and it wasn't delightful at all. service is horrible the people do not greet you, do not engage in any type of conversation it seem like they had an attitude I do apologize however this restaurant needs much improvement

My blender broke and I needed somewhere local I can get a good smoothie. I am so thankful to find this spot. The smoothie options were great and I also was able to stumble across a great food spot next door. My new blender finally came but I will surely be back.

I have been to this restaurant a few times but this is my first review. This is a vegan cuisine restaurant with a Caribbean flare because they have a Caribbean chef. They always have a menu of the day that they abide by and the earlier you go the better because they will have more options. I ordered over the phone and my meal was ready when I got there. The service was pretty good today. There is only street parking and beware of the parking signs. The food here is pretty much on the pricey side. I paid $15 for the kamut, vegetables, and vegan patty. When I got home and ate the food was pretty good.

If you are looking for a place that carries alkaline 'Dr. Sebi' inspired dishes , then look no further. Things I've purchased here include:dried irishmoss, fonio, baby bananas and teff.
