Frequented this place often with family. Today I showed up by myself. Blond greeter, and young manager pushed me to sit at counter or Hightower which I've tried day before and there is nobody assigned to you it's the land of the forgotten. They were obviously upset and saving tables for bigger parties but I see single diners there often. I feel that it's a diner trying to do a nice job but it's a diner as much as they think it's a Houston lol. People expect easy in/out situation. I understand waits and when I'm the only one left on the wait based on empty lobby. The young manager sId if I don't sit at counter I d have to wait but there were 4 empty and set tables. It was so embarrassing to go thru this.I guess the young manager told his mom I refused and older lady with faux Gucci glasses storms out of kitchen walks up to me and says what's the problem with aggressive body language almost pushes me away from desk also insisted I would need to wait without aknowledging a guest that has eaten there 3 times this week alone that there are 4 tables available now and the lobby is full of people that came after me while my name is at top. And had been passed once. This woman just gave the good old jersey glance and decided I don't deserve her hospitality. Yes it's the industry in which you treat people as u would in your own home. You ma'am are not a good host. Your greeter system doesn't work if a different manager walks up and takes over constantly.My last visit you were about to sit us before the next family and they were upset with us. We spoke to the older taller man and he did not realize for this same reason but we waited. that's not the way you should treat people that are loyal to you. I waited my turn politely. Your manager was rude to say "you'll have to wait then" not "you'll be next sir"Apparently this is ok with owner based on response below. Shows how full of herself owner was your lack of apology made my point. You choose who you are courteous to without hearing their concern. Lastly I'd like to let you know you're Hawaiian ribeye and french dip are direct copies of Houstons menu. You should save money and go to culinary school so that you won't have to copy. Your sugar globes and servers wearing black shows how empty your creativity is. Your french dip is made from leftover dinner items that's why it only comes well done. Who cooks fresh prime rip well? Nobody. Hawaiian ribeye is a legally protected recipe you can get sued for just taking it. Lol if u want to copy Houstons start w the way you run your manager team and greeter stand. Every server there has more class than you. You're actions are what nj used to be ok with.

Our family of 9 were really accommodated during brunch on Easter weekend. The decor is beautiful, which is unusual for a diner. Service was friendly and fast. There were many fun choices of pancakes (I got pecan banana, chocolate chip and our kids got Oreo) and there were HUGE. Other kids got sliders and loved them.

We ate breakfast two mornings in a row here. The food was amazing, and the service was great. I'd recommend their desserts, especially the cheesecake. My wife, who is picky about her cheesecake, said it was one of the best she has eaten.

My first time here at Candlewyck Diner and def won’t be the last. I had the Thai Calamari Salad! It was spicy and delicious, the calamari was cooked perfectly. I also had the banana shake was really delicious as well!

KEEP AWAY !!!aweful customer service !!! Female Management very rude !!!! Food wasnt the best for the price that I paid. Had a terrible dish, and she was not willing to give me credit for the 1 dish. Place was superbusy and nobody came to table to ask us how things were, OR ELSE i WOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING.SO IF YOU DO NOT LIKE YOUR DISH TELL THEM RIGHT AWAY, IF SOMEONE COMES TO THE TABLE TO ASK !!!!!WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!

Was there last night with my family. Although the interior of the restaurant is nice to look at, the food quality and service has gone down drastically. My poor grandmother was starving, for it took a long time for our food to come out, never mind it not being a busy night. I will never return to this place again. Please do better.
