To begin this place from the beginning looks NOTHING like it's peruvian. The atmosphere, music, theme, etc. have NOTHING to do with Peru. service was good, good was okay since the salad is not even prepared, they only cut it, wash it and service it, very peruvian, right?

Great ambiance and food, definitely not the best Peruvian food in NJ, but it’s worth a try! The service was subpar, was disappointed by that honestly. The waiter was nice, but not attentive whatsoever(I had a reservation btw). We asked the waiter for recommendations, and he did not take time to explain a few dishes, he disappeared for about 20 minutes. It was frustrating to put in an order because he did not check on our table often. If they improve their service a bit, this restaurant could be a hit!

If I could rate zero I would. We went with my kids and mother. I asked the waitress what she recommended for the kids and she recommended one. Once we received it was BEYOND spicy and BEYOND salty. All the food was so salty my kids were none stop coughing. My mother could not even eat her food as her blood pressure went up due to the amount of sodium in the food. 80% of our food was not even touched. Unless you want to pay for over priced salt… don’t go here

the foods terrible this restaurant gave me moldy food and my son timothy had stomach poisoning once we got home! This restaurant is insane, ridiculous prices for terrible quality food. My other son, Andrew, had constant stomach pains like Timothy, would not recommend. Terrible food, terrible service and terrible atmosphere.

Great Food, but a disappointing ExperienceLast Apr 20th, I visited Jarana for 2nd time and was impressed with the quality of the food and the friendly service. The menu offered a range of delicious options, and the atmosphere was welcoming and modern. However, my experience was unfortunately marred by an encounter with a panhandling individual who approached me inside the restaurant.While I understand that panhandling is a complex issue, I was disappointed that the restaurant didn't take a proactive steps to address the situation at hostess station. The individual was quite persistent and made me feel uncomfortable, which took away from my overall enjoyment of the meal.Despite this, I want to acknowledge that the food and service were excellent, and I appreciate the hard work of the staff. I hope that the restaurant will take steps to address this issue in the future, as it has the potential to be a fantastic dining experience.

Just tried to reserve a table for 12 people no one responded to my email and when I called I was informed that for a party this size is considered a private party and it’s mandatory $150 per person. When I explained there would be 5 children they insisted that the adults could just drink more to make the min. I found this ridiculous and will be sure never to go there with a large party.

My lomo saltado came with a small wire, they solved it by replacing it with a new. When they brought me the new dish, they didn't serve me the right amount as a first course. but it is no longer the same and it takes away from the consumer's experience. the attention and professionalism with which the situation was handled 4/10 there is a lack of more professionalism and empathy in the handling of this type of situation in which the consumer can feel comfortable and return again.
Lack of hospitality on the part of the workers and the taste and portions of the food need to be improved.

It was our first time at the restaurant. We had wanted to go for a long time and today we had the opportunity. I went with my husband, children and friends. It was my fist time trying Peruvian food.The restaurant is beautiful, very well decorated and colorful. A very pleasant and clean environment.The food was spectacular, from the appetizer to the entrées "Chaufa Mostro y Lomo Saltado" and the drink Uff! Chicha Morada 100% recommended. An explosion of flavor, a good portion of food and excellent temperature. Delicious!The customer service was 5 stars. Álvaro took very good care of us. He was very attentive, explained many things to us and made good recommendations. Also, Juancho provided a very good service to us.Hopefully, we will be back soon. ??

Overpriced for small portions. Food was just okay, not the best in the area. A little salty tbh. I've never seen a place that serves chicken as entree without any sides. The stars are more for atmosphere since the restaurant is nice, but not worth it, IMO. Personally, not a place I would recommend. You don't get your moneys worth.
