We used to visit this place often(precovid) and loved the food and the service. I also ordered food for a party from here. I was very very disappointed when I ordered takeout recently, food was HORRIBLE!! naan was cardboard, subzis were tasteless and gobi manchurian was a mushy mess, the food was not hot/warm. Worst part we all had to visit the restroom as soon as we finished eating. Also they have increased the price which is not reflected on their online menu and they rudely mention about it when you are picking up the food. I will NEVER EVER go here again and NEVER recommend this place to my friends PERIOD.

I visit this spot a lot since I work close by. I got to say the customer service is always awesome and they keep the spot neat regularly. Prices are fair and they serve big portions.

Best place to get quality food in town. Food is delicious, ate idly, dosa and vada.I would highly recommend this place to eat. 5 star rating for their Hospitality .

We had buffet there. It is a great place to eat for vegetarians. They have dosas included in buffet and they have a separate menu for dosas only. Highly recommended.

The quality has deteriorated now and the owner is not customer friendly. He does not bother about the orders placed or the quality of food served. There are many good South Indian restaurants in the area serving way better food with welcoming smile on their face for the customers....

I was completely taken aback by the rude owner of this restaurant. Had terribly dry rava dosa and the butter dosa was as cold and dry as the owners behavior to his customers. Really disappointed. When we gave him the review of his dosa, he told us "I have never heard about such a thing from previous customers"! If you want quality food... this is definitely a no go.

Good Ambience and service. Food is very good but not excellent. Has both north and South Indian option. Great location around.

Amazingly simple South Indian restaurant. No extra grease, no extra spiciness, no drama. Our favorite place to visit, very often.

Dosai Place is where I love to go in town for Dosa. If you haven't tried one before, Dosas are a South Indian specialty that can be related to a thin savory crepe with various ingredients in the batter and in the filling. Over the years, I have been to several places for Dosa but Dosai Place has had the most consistently delicious food! The inside is a relatively casual place. The tables, chairs, and decor are nothing special but still create a nice enough ambiance to enjoy a meal. I most often find myself here on Thursday nights when they offer a Dosa dinner buffet. There is a small selection of foods in the buffet section including Idly, Vada, Sambar, some chutneys, curd rice, and a dessert (which varies and may be kheer, kesari, etc). The idly are wonderfully soft and taste homemade. The vadas also have a great texture with a crispy fried exterior and a soft, puffy inside. The sambar is also delicious in my opinion but for those that like the more traditional taste, it can seem slightly watered down. The chutneys also bring a great flavor and I especially enjoy the coconut and peanut chutneys. Then of course getting to the Dosas! They have a great variety of Dosas on their buffet menu and you can essentially order unlimited Dosas which are included in the price of the buffet. The sizes of these are smaller than what they might be if you bought them on a non-buffet night, but honestly that has never bothered me. I like the opportunity to have several types of dosas during the course of the night and usually eat 3-4 (along with all the other food)! They have many of the standard Dosas including Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Butter Dosa, etc. They also have many others including Hyderabad Spicy Dosa, Paneer Bhurji Dosa, Chettinadu Dosa, etc. I was especially surprised by the flavor of their Sweet Coconut Dosa and I tend to get that towards the end of my meal as a "dessert Dosa". Basically, this is definitely the place to go if you want to try or enjoy Dosas! I would recommend this over other Indian restaurants that serve mostly North Indian food with a few South Indian dishes.
