Beautiful restaurant and very professional staff and they checked off the Open Table reservation.. Brunch has some creative dishes at very reasonable prices. Valet parking leaves you steps from the entrance. Looking forward to coming back for Dinner.

This place is lovely. The food was perfect; we had the Canadian oysters (East) and they were fresh and tender. We had a bottle of the house white wine, Daou Chardonnay (clean/buttery flavor) that went well with the oysters, bronzino fish which was cooked to perfection and came with a nice plate of yellow saffron rice and vegetables. Our waiter Jonathan, was very good. I highly recommend Bonita By The River.

My wife and I went out to dinner to celebrate a very special occasion. Spoke to the general manager John who was extremely friendly and courteous. He then introduced us to our wonderful waitress Valentina who was amazing. Food, atmosphere, and service was outstanding. Can’t thank you enough for the service and hospitality we received. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you again.

I was invited to a party at Bonita’s. I arrived at 2:00 pm from the main driveway on River. Rd. and waited at the valet stand for five minutes. There was nobody there or in this garage. At that point I started driving around looking for a person. I found a man in a maintenance uniform and asked him if he knew where guests could park. He appeared quite knowledgeable as he directed me to a different part of the garage. I found a spot, parked and went to the party. When I left four hours later my car was missing. Needless to say I was panicked that my car had been stolen. The valet kid was now on duty and he contacted the guy in charge of the garage. The guy arrived in an SUV and told me my car was towed. He told me I had parked in a resident’s spot and he went and towed me without even coming into the restaurant to ask if anyone owned my car so I could move it. My car was towed to a very seedy part of North Bergen. My husband drove me and I had to pay $350 to get it back. I was livid. The friend who threw the party and who had spent a lot of money at Bonita’s - tried to reason with the manager but he was adamant. The garage guy who had called the tow company was nasty to me as well.I will never return to Bonita’s-and I’m advising my friends to follow suit.

The food was exquisitely prepared. The service was excellent. The location is amazingly clean and tastefully decorated.

I dine there on weekday night with my mom. We took advantage of the tapas menu for dinner and ordered items to go. One was the special of the evening: Pork Chops with a Mofongo side sauce was prosciutto butter. To my surprise and disappointment there was a metallic rusted bottle cap in the food. I emailed the restaurant no response and placed a call for an explanation as to how this unhygienic thing was in the meal. The waiter that answered the phone said that manager was not available until Friday, today is Wednesday. So the restaurant is open and the staff can do as it pleases because there is no manager present. I decided to try the side of potatoes with peppers that I had ordered and it was burnt. Also all the peppers seeds were in the dish, the staff is careless and lazy. The cherry on top is that my mom whose birthday I was celebrating yesterday got food poisoning. Please avoid this place when managers are not present since the staff when left to their devices are complacent in providing below standard service.

The place is amazing, the ambience is great but the service is top notch. Valentina is the pulse of this place. I recommend you ask for her as she is overall super welcoming. Food was also amazing, highly recommended.

I came here with my family for lunch and we had a great experience. We went when they were first opening so we were the only ones there but either way the food was great. The gyro was really good, the calamari was good and paired well with their sauce, and their lobster Mac and cheese was great. I got the fried goat cheese and beat salad which I added blackened chicken and it was so good (and good for leftovers the next day). Also the tres leches for dessert was really good! Great service, portions were huge, nicely decorated, and tasty food. Will be back for sure

The food was good, especially the octopus starter, I recommend it if you are a sea food lover. The drinks were not my favorites. For the main course I recommend the steak, it was very delicious (excluding the rice). The bread with tomato was not my favorite either, it lacked flavor. It's a little complicated to know where to go to park if you're new there. The restaurant is a bit noisy, for a couple's date, I don't recommend it. I think it would be perfect for the summer.

Nice vibe but not cozy. Apps were wonderful, everyone's main course was very average. No imagination with given sides of mixed veggies and rice. Server friendly but had to ask for water 4-5 times each time before got some, plates not cleared after apps for over 30-40 minutes. Food was good/fine, just expected a bit more.

The venue is nice but lacks atmosphere. The servers are very attentive. The food was good. I asked about Happy Hour. I was told it's from 3-5:00. Most people work till at least 5. It doesn't make sense. If it started at 5 I would definitely attend..

The food was delicious. My friend got the churrasco and I got the salmon. We got some warm and fresh bread and a salad. The salad dressing was so good! We also got a couple of drinks. My friend aaked for a piña colada and were informed they don't prepare frozen drinks which was a bit odd. Other than that, the service was top-notch!
