CLOSED!We really loved going in the fall, there was great food. Unfortunately we showed up to have dinner for a birthday yesterday and were told by the workers at the bubble tea stand downstairs that Hudson Pot is closed “forever”.

Well, there faults about this place, but overall its amazing. Let's start off with the hot pot. They are in induction Stoves in front of you where they put a metal hot pot with vegetables in it. Once it's simmers, you can put meat inside and cook it. The hot pot is delicious and the meat is high-quality. The service is pretty fast and the experience is quite memorable. The server was nice. I don't know his name. It's located across the New York waterline, but there's nothing really to look out. It has a nice vibe on the inside and there's a bubble tea place is down stairs so after you're done, you can go grab that. The hot pots come with complementary ice cream they have Matcha vanilla and a mix of the two. The soup boil is pretty fast and that's about it. This place is great.

We had a group dinner at Christmas Eve. The meat is fresh, sauces are authentic, views are great. The ice cream made the night perfect. my family absolutely loves it, will consider come back in the future.

The beef rice bowl is great. The shabu shabu has a large portion of different vegetables which make it very healthy. The beef and pork is also in good quality. I like this place but I do think the shabu broth needs to be more tasty to attract customers. Now it is more like a super healthy plain soup.Vegetarian options: Very healthy for vegetarians

I checked their website and, based on their stated hours of operations, made a reservation for an early dinner. The reservation system accepted the time slot I selected (that means the business is open and operating at that time). When we came in, on time, the door was open but there was no activity and not much light on. Finally, the people at the downstairs café told us, "Oh no, they are only open on weekends." I understand why a restaurant might do that, but there is no excuse for not updating their hours everywhere where they are posted, starting with their own website. This is a very poor way to manage and operate a business. I have nothing to say about their food or ambiance, because I guess we'll never know. We are definitely not going there on weekends: parking there is a nightmare on weekends, and now I don't feel inclined to go out of my way for them and take an Uber both ways.

just had lunch here. I'm not sure if the dinner crowd is busier, but when I arrived at 12:30 PM, the place was quite empty. In fact, it was so quiet that I initially thought they might not be open. Throughout my entire visit, from the moment I sat down to when I left, there were only two staff and just two tables of diners, including myself. Additionally, despite the fact that the waitstaff had very little to do, they still managed to forget to bring some items that customers needed in the first few minutes.Overall, the environment is fine because there were hardly any other customers, making it a peaceful and quiet environment for leisurely dining and conversation with friends. However, as a hotpot restaurant, there were no individual exhaust fans above each table. Sitting in front of a hotpot for an hour can make you feel a bit warm.Regarding the food, not sure if it's because of the lunch menu. But the salad bar that I've seen in other reviews, and those self-service meatballs are not available.I ordered the unlimited US Wagyu beef premium pork set. Among the appetizers, I particularly liked the 'gold menchi,' which had well-balanced seasoning and sweetness, and the meat filling had a great texture. The beef slices, however, were quite limited in quantity, with just two slices on one plate. While their tenderness did not match their appearance. As for the pork belly, it was rather disappointing as it had too much fatty meat, which wasn't suitable for hotpot. Additionally, the hotpot was filled with a variety of vegetables typically used for making the broth, but because it was loaded with these assorted vegetables, there wasn't much space for other food items. Consequently, I ended up having to consume these less appetizing vegetables.

Price feels a bit overpriced when solely looking at the food. Wagyu Beef, high quality ingredients and inclusive desert. But then you look at the view of the NYC Skyline and experience the service and you realize that the total amount of the check is justified by the experience as a whole.
