Really great restaurant with an awesome variety of 100% Vegetarian Thalis. I highly recommend their Kesar Special Thali along with their Papdi Chaat Thali! They let you share plates and honestly 1 thali with saabzis would suffice 2 people, you may just have to order another separate Naan. Their special saabzi of the day was amazing, the rest of the saabzis varied from 'generic to alright'. Surprisingly, their ambiance is very upscale for a restaurant that is known for their Thalis. Highly recommend bringing the whole family and the service was super quick!

Kesar is famous for Thalis and they live up to it. We ordered Amrithsari, Kathiawadi, Punjabi and Chaat Thalis. All of them are good. Curries we got in the Thalis could’ve been better, they were just good, not great. Overall it’s good experience having Thalis..Vegetarian options: Everything’s vegetarian in this restaurant
Just have the Maharaja Thali. Comes with 20 or more sabzis and each one is unique and yummy!

The team is wonderful and has been dedicatedly working towards making this new venture of kesar(one of it's kind vegetarian thali concept) a big success. They are very diligent and thorough to customers request. The owner of the chain Manish is very kind hearted and discussed in detail the concept behind and the motto of this chain as a whole.
Ordered a kesar special thali , gujrati thali and a chaat thali. Kesar thali was the best out of all. Gujrati thali was a little bland. This place has multiple Jain and Swaminarayan option which is very good. Staff seemed a bit confused with the orders. But definitely amongst the best thali places in central jersey.

It’s proper North Indian food restaurant .It has good a big maharaja thali . Most of the dishes taste sweet ( Gujarathi style ) .They have nice paratha .
Visited Edison for some Indian shopping and stopped her for a quick lunch. It was the typical, bustling good Indian cafe atmosphere, and We waited ~20mins for a table which is always a good sign. Once seated the service is fast and food fresh. We had a chaat thali, Punjabi thali with poori, and an Amritsar thali. The accompanying curries, chick pea, dhal, paneer and saag (spinach) were tasty and went well with the naans, poori and rice. Would recommend this spot anytime for a refreshing, very tasty, vegetarian, non bloating Indian meal.

Had lunch today. my wife tried kathiawadi thalidomide. It was quite hot taste wise and cannot really enjoy since hot spice kills taste buds. They charged $3.95 for a very small plate of rice, which is unreasonable.I tried Onion rava masala dosa, which was very ordinary and accompaniments sambar, chain's were very spicey for me. KESAR is one of the many Indian restaurants in this area, with ordinary food and did not enjoy it. price wise it's not a cheap place.Sorry, for US it's NOT WORTH RETURNING!Service was ordinary

Visited with family today. Our first visit. The appetizers included spring rolls, raj kachori, samosa chaat and idli vada combo. All tasted good. The sambar was a little too spicy for our palate. For the entree we tried the plain dosa, rava masala dosa and rumali roti with soya chaap. All were good, the sambar notwithstanding, as being spicy. I did try the masala chai which was reasonably okay. The overall ambience was decent and the service was quite efficient and pleasing. Worth a revisit.

Ordered, tikki chat and two samosa and tea (machine) and soya chaap. Soya chaap was ok, tikki and samosa were very bad. How can someone make bad samosa? Plus why Indian restaurants serve machine tea? Either they don’t know how to make tea or they are not Indian at all.
