Update: Ming has very conveniently after 2 years of posting the review tried to wipe it off by giving misleading information. NO the additional service tax was not mentioned on the menu and such service taxes are charged for a party of 5 or more; we were a couple. And yes the food sucked!Below average food, long wait for food and yes be prepared to pay close to 27% of tax on your food bill. 20% service charge (draconian and unheard of) and the rest as state taxes. Don’t waste your time and money here

We live in VA and came for work to NJ! I had done some research and heard about Ming! Upon reading mixed reviews, I still thought we should try it as I was craving for Indian Chinese.. so just 2 of us had lunch We ordered the 2 soups after good reviews.. - lemon coriander (it was green in color, lot of lemon and less flavorful) - manchow (not the greatest soup I have tried, too hot that it could burn your tongue) Soups were served with "no flavor sev" Had to order the pineapple and cracked black pepper drink (FOMO fear). It was good! Main course- firstly, the dishes should have been the price and quantity of lunch portions They were full priced! We only had 25 min from ordering to the close of the restaurant and we were done all eating before time, which means food came in very quick Appetizer- after reading so many reviews, ordered the lotus stem which was very mediocre Lunch- ordered veg Hakka noodles (very average) Schezwan Fried rice with egg (not bad) Green Thai curry (very mediocre and not served with jasmine rice) Had read in every review about the crispy fried mushroom so we tried that ( it was ok) I had to take some chicken for the kids at home ( so I took something that the server suggested, my kids looked at it and refused to eat it During lunch time, I was charged 20% gratuity on my entire food which includes my TO-GO. I paid $190 for the food I didn't like Waste of money, my VA has much better food Most of the restaurants on Oaktree have degraded on quality I should have eaten at Mithas (where we went for some mithai) , it's also their restaurant but looked more occupied Sorry owner, but not happy at all!

Food is good. Service is okay. Found it bit over priced for the value and overall experience. Nothing specifically wrong about this place but sum of all parts didn’t click for us. It didn’t feel upscale (for the prices) and food taste was at par with other indo Chinese options close by.

Food was average. Chicken was tasteless. The waiter tried to charge my credit card twice the bill amount. Double check your bill and the credit card charges. Didn’t like that they include 20% gratuity for sub-par service. Tip should be at the discretion of the customer.

This used to be my go-to place for Indo-Chinese food for a very long time.. I have also rated them 5/5 in the past. But lately, things seem to have deteriorated - especially after the pandemic. I thought let me try again - one last time. I went there (as a family of 6) last month and decided to never go back again. The items served over there didn't seem to be fresh. Looked like they were reheated and served. For example we ordered the chicken lollipop/drums of heaven - it was so chewy and rubbery and we could tell that it was heated/reheated and served. None of us liked what we ordered. The service was not bad. Atmosphere was not bad. Quality of food was not up to the mark - very sad, since this was my favorite restuarant for a long long time.

Soup and noodles were excellent. EVERYTHING else was deep fried, gravy was thick, sticky, gooey and loaded with sugar and salt. Service was reasonable. Service charge was already added - 20% - for 4 guests.Vegetarian options: Plenty availableDietary restrictions: THEY DO NOT ENTERTAIN PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES. They will keep repeating "it is already made/marinated", so we can't make sure that it'll be okay for the person with allergies.Parking: Plenty of parking.

We came with lot of expectations as I am always a fan of indo chinese. We ordered the Thai soup and sweet corn soup. The soup was good. Was very disappointed with the starters. The crispy corn was not crispy, too oily but it tasted ok. The veggie cottage cheese skewers had no taste what so ever. The veggies in that were less than 1/4 of a veggie. The drinks were so expensive. The mango mojito was good but the adult chai was a disappointment for $16!!! 20% fixed gratuity for everyone irrespective of number of people in the party. We did not even order entree and the bill for $120. Will not visit again.

Well worth the drive over from Brooklyn. Ming in known for their chicken dumplings. So light and fresh, their chefs create great Pan Asian favorites! We’re at Ming a couple times a month and the service is always great.Vegetarian options: I love their Veg Hakka Noodle dish, on this visit I tried their Fried Mushrooms in Garlic Schezwan which was really good! The mushrooms were crispy although tossed in the sauce. Although the menu had a chili symbol next to it the dish was not that spicy to us.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s all on one level, entrance to dining area to restrooms.

Costly place. They charge 20% service charge for even 3 people and 6.65% NJ state taxThe food is also average. I ordered a dry manchurian that was undercooked from the inside and cold. For just 2 bao bun, 1 lotus stem appetiser, 1 manchurian with 1 burnt chilli garlic noodle i paid 114$ and 3 regular drinks.

Food - Food is nothing short of bad. Cottage Cheese Veggie Skewers - Had 4 Paneer peices and had one small capsicum piece. Desc was medley of veggies etc. Had no flavor. Lotus root - which is supposedly the most famous was awful. Had no taste no flavor Chilli Chicken had nothing to be called chilli chicken. 1st time in my life saw white colored schewan. again had no flavor no taste. Service - no complains Ambiance - Absolutely run down. Old style has nothing to be called as fine dining experience. This is no a individuals review. It is combined of all folks who were there. Could have written more bad things but overall very poor quality/taste food. Waste of time. Waste of money.
