Had the orea matcha tea new recipe and also the passion fruit green tea!!!!Amazing not too sweet ask to control the sugar. Less sugar always .I can't wait for them to release the Oreo matcha. Soooooooo good. The Oreo and matcha combination isn't something I would have naturally though about but it's insanely good. Will come backThank you to the owner for letting us try and also for serving us. I want to mention that we were walking in 1 minute before closing, most other stores would have turned us away and told us they're closed but the workers here very kind and served us two incredibly crafted drinks. Thanks guys you are the best.

I didn't even get a chance to visit the store. I called on 7/31/2023 at 3:30pm anxious to stop by and try their tea's and different items on the menu by asking a couple of questions for allergy safety. The girl that answered the phone was very nasty and short with me she said, she was sick and couldn't talk also, she thought I was a scammer, that's why she was nasty. I told her if you are not well you shouldn't be answering the phone like she did there is no excuse for being nasty. I was so excited about trying out several items on the menu. This person refused to give me her name or tell me the name of her supervisor or manager and hung up on me. The owner should know the type of person they have representing their company. I hear they have good items on the menu and customers love them. I wish I could talk to someone in charge.

Y’all better not let this place flop bc their fruit tea drinks are fire. I haven’t really tried their milk tea yet but I have yet to find anywhere else in this area that has really good and wide selection of fruit teas. Highly recommend.

Super cute place to grab boba with friends! My lychee fruit tea was really light and refreshing. Service is order yourself and easy to use. The cherry blossoms painted on the wall are so pretty!
We ordered 5 tea’s. All were so so good! Totally worth it. Would love to visit again. 100% recommended

A great little place where you can get delicious and exceptional bubble tea along with snacks without breaking your wallet. Beautiful atmosphere, although I found the front where you can order was a bit confusing. They offer two machines: one ChowBus and the other, GrubHub. One takes and gives you rewards (the one closest to the colorful and beautiful giraffe). Or you can go to the counter and order. Their reward card is now done through the Chowbus app.I truly appreciated this place. Not only do you get quality beverages made with real tea, fresh fruits, and a nice variety of Taiwanese snacks, but you can sit and relax either by yourself or with a group of friends. I have even seen some individuals quietly working on their laptops as they sip and eat.I have ordered all their popcorn chicken flavors and I find the basil popcorn chicken & chives to be my family's favorite. I have also tried their Matcha Tiramisu which was also very good. I believe the latter might have been a seasonal item, as I no longer saw it this time around. Milk tea is decent, a little pricier compared to other local spots. Popcorn chicken was probably the worst I've ever had. Strange flavor, not spicy and undercooked batter.Majority of it had a chewy gum texture to it. Didn't help that they missed my popcorn chicken order. I sat there for 15 mins, and they weren't even busy. So I went to the counter to check, so they checked in the back and they didn't even see my order. Chef lady came out of back and looked like what order? Lol. So it took another 10 mins for it to come out. The ambiance is clean and spacious. However I probably won't return for milk tea or snacks. Might try a different drink next time.

Modern China Tea Shop is a bubble tea shop located in Edison, New Jersey. The shop is small and cozy, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features a wide variety of bubble teas, as well as other Taiwanese snacks and desserts.I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba, and it was absolutely delicious! The tea was smooth and flavorful, and the boba was perfectly chewy. It was sweet goodness!! I also tried the Kumquat Lemon Tea, and it was just as good. At 30% sugar, the citrus and rindiness of the kumquat shined with a lemony backdrop. It was quite refreshing!The service at Modern China Tea Shop was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer any questions I had. I would definitely recommend Modern China Tea Shop to anyone looking for a delicious bubble tea or other Taiwanese snack.

Really cute premium boba shop located on 27, near H-Mart. Don't let the outside fool you, Modern China Tea Shop is quite large!These days, you have to accept that you're paying at least $6-$8 for boba. While my wallet cries, I expect premium costs to have premium tastes. Modern China Tea Shop definitely does not miss and is actually amazing. If I had to compare the quality to another boba shop, I would say it's better than Yi Fang. You can either order in person or on a large tablet. They have a ton of drinks, although I feel like they offer more cheese foam drinks than anything else. Would love to see more fruit based drink options. They also serve dessert and snacks for purchase. Service is quick and speedy. Drinks are amazing. Easily 10/10. I ordered a lychee drink and you can tell they used real lychee fruit and syrup for it. I had a lychee drink from Lazy Sundaes the day prior and it was not good. So having this was amazing. I didn't get a chance to sit, but there's ample seating and aesthetics are beautiful. The bathroom is the only complaint I have. Toilet seat was a little dirty, but overall the bathroom itself was fine. Will keep coming back to try their menu :)
