Food was mid, had a craving for dim sum and saw this place had shrimp rice rolls. Ordered 3 dishes, shu mai was bland, shrimp dumpling good but the rice rolls were blah. Low flavor small and the sauce was thick and too salty.

Worst Sesame Chicken we ever had. It was so overcooked that it was chewy and inedible.

We came in at noon with the restaurant deserted. We thought it was very quiet, but it turns out that was a red flag.As soon as we went in, we were completely ignored. We had to call out for them to answer us. As we started to check, our cups were filthy with "tea stains" as the waitress put it. However, we noticed that the tea stains smudged our napkins. The waitress would roll her eyes and remarked under her breath that it was only tea.We ordered soup dumplings first and when they came out, we noticed that the pork was raw and pink/translucent. We notified the staff but they kept insisting that it was not. They then took away the steamer baskets before we could take pictures. The "Three Cups Chicken" did not have basilThe soymilk was basically watered down and so watery it tasted nasty.Service was equally as horrible as the food. The staff all huddled to the back of the restaurant to sit and talk, facing away from us. Like the other reviews have said, we would need to call out for them to be seated, take our order, ask for refills, and pay. As we started ordering, the staff went on her phone to take our order on the notes app (I assumed). Then her phone rang and she started to take the call in front of us. Once she was done she placed her phone back in her pocket to actually take our orders.Overall, we all decided that this was not a restaurant. We don't know what to call this place but horrible. We left our orders half eaten because we could not finish the meal.

We've gotten their food for years when shopping in the area but today's takeout was just not the same. Maybe they changed the chef? If I ordered Shanghai wonton, there are certain expectations how it's made and how it should taste. It's very disappointing today that they used the (thick) dumpling skin for wontons and not much vegetable in the stuffing. My husband didn't mind but this is not what it's supposed to be or how they used to serve. The cold appetizer had no flavor, needed a little bit salt, sesame oil and vinegar. The pork chop was all right. Sorry, I will not return. Need to find another place serving real Shanghai wontons.

In the old days (prior to COVID), we used to dine at Shanghai Noodle House a lot, driving up and down Rte 1 to attend our grandson's baseball games. We no longer go there because (1) their boss lady was rude with me a couple of times, (2) they no longer accept credit card, (3) their food had deteriorated.

when I came here it was honestly just empty, except for one table with a few people. We had to call out for a lady to come and give us a table and that took up at least 5-8 minutes of our time. When we got a table, the utensils were so so cleaned & the drinks were ok, but the water tasted like tap water and the tea just tasted like hot water with a hint of tea which was honestly disappointing. The food didn’t take that long to come which was pretty nice, the soup dumplings were good and the chicken was a little too cold for my liking. The meat was a little too hard to bite into but it could just be me but the flavor was definitely there. Kitchen was pretty empty, and there was one lady working outside of the kitchen which was surprising. The walls had some stains on them & the exterior was not very attractive. But the experience was good, if I had to rate it, I would rate it a 6.5/10.

Drove over an hour to try this place. Went in and checked out the menu. Restaurant was completely empty except for the workers sitting at a table. Was totally ignored. I even looked at them to try and get their attention. Not until I turned to leave did they acknowledge me. Too late. Disappointed.

The pork soup dumplings were so so compare to other Shanghai restaurants. It seems like there was food coloring added to it, and the dumpling itself is so thick compared to others as well. The salted fish fried rice is excellent just like Penang across the street!

The spicy peanut noodles was fantastic. And the dumplings were so delicious. Cant wait to go back. There is plenty more in their menu that I still want to try. And the service was great. Would recommend to anyone.

It was a bit confusing figuring out if this was the right place because a different name was on the door. No one was inside. Service was great. Food was meh. Got the spicy seafood noodle soup. Lots of seafood in it but not much flavor.

Dishes are all over the restaurant, disorganized, rude staff- was ignoring the DoorDash drivers on purpose.

Good soup dumplings. Had dinner there a few times with friends after work. Something for everyone, nothing fancy, or overly expensive. BYOB is always a plus for groups.

I can tell that this is a family-owned business because the atmosphere is cozy and lacks all the expensive decor. And every time my family goes there it is being handled by one lady. This restaurant takes cash only and does not take credit cards - so be aware when you go to this restaurant. However, nothing beats the food. Everything tastes good and nothing is fake. The food is real authentic Taiwanese dish. The dumplings are huge but sometimes the taste is hit or miss. Regardless this is one of my family's favorite restaurant for a quick bite.
