On a warm evening me and my friends drove to the skylark diner for early diner. We arrived around 6:30 and the restuarant was pretty empty. There was plentiful parking around the diner. The restuarant was very pleasing to the eyes with clocks from timezones all around the world decorating the walls. We were seated as soon we came in with a choice of seating at the regular booths or at the bar. Most of the seating in this indee is booth seating. The menu was both as big as other diners but the selection of food was still great! Most of the items were pretty expensive but they came with a soup or salad. My partner got the lemon chicken dish for 26$ and it was very tasty. I got the grilled flank steak sandwhich for 19$ and it cane with a side of fries in a cute little container. My food was very well seasoned and tasted very good. Our waiter had exceptional service tending to our needs and giving us extra time to look at the menu without being rushed. My overall experience was very good with my only downside being how expensive the food was.

I visited this diner on Tuesday, which was April 16, 2024. Skylark Diner is the best diner i've gone to. The modern look, yet a little vintage is a great diner experience. The service was also good, food came pretty quick and the waitress was great. Going there around 12 pm on a tuesday was a good time because of the quick seating. Their penne vodka is very good as well as their caesar salad. I would definitely recommend going to the Skylark Diner in Edison, New Jersey.

We went to the Skylark diner for dinner. I got the French toast with fresh berries and my friend got the margharita pizza! The French toast was thick and fluffy, perfect with some butter and syrup. The fresh blueberries and strawberries were the cherry on top. This time around I did not get a smoothie, but I did try the orange juice which was just as good. I like how extensive the Skylark menu is, they have a variety of different foods to try. From teriyaki glazed salmon to chocolate chip pancakes. I also appreciate how they have breakfast all day! The service was good as well. Our server was very nice and recommended us different plates to try, which we kept note of for the next visit. I liked the retro atmosphere of the diner and how colorful it is. The booth seats were also very comfortable as well. Although we did not get drinks, we were stunned by the giant bar in the middle. The flashy neon lights during the evening were pretty as well. Overall, I loved the kitschy architecture of the diner. The outside sign is one of my personal favorites!

I arrived at the Skylark diner around 4 pm on a cloudy Thursday. At first glance the diner had an interesting retro design that I thought was unique. I entered with a few of my friends and we were warmly greeted by one of the waitresses. She politely asked us if we wanted to sit at a booth or counter to which we asked for a booth and after being sat down we were given a few minutes to make our orders. I decided on the sky blue burger with fries as it seemed like an interesting choice consisting of onions, blue cheese and chipotle mayo. However even though the diner was pretty empty at the time it still took a while for the food to arrive. The burger was amazing and the fries were extremely fresh. Overall, the experience was nice and I will definitely be returning some time soon.

Very pricey! French toast should not be $23

We tried 5 items from their menu . Their cauliflower steak is very bad . It is just a bland piece of boiled cauliflower with some arugula salad. Most of the cauliflower was inedible as it was leaves and stalk. There was inadequate sauce and it had no flavor . Waste of $22 would not recommend. I asked the waitress multiple times for a cup of coffee, it never arrived to the table. In general there were a lot of misses from her as she did not pay attention to what we ordered. The lemon ricotta pancakes and their omelette was good. Nothing exceptional . Overall not a good experience. Will not go here again

I regret giving so many other places 5 stars, as now the meaningfulness of the 5 stars i give to skylark is Diminished. If you are looking for a review telling you to go the Skylark - look no further, this is it. Incredible food, diverse menu with variety, high quality ingredients, not to mention reasonably priced in a beautiful atmosphere. Perfect place for a special occasion or a brunch meet up. Wish I could give more stars, guess I'll just have to settle with giving them my business.

We went a few times for Classic Fridays in the bar area with DJ Bookeem and his crew spinning some nice old school R&B, Hip Hop, etc. and the place is jumping. Everyone up dancing and just enjoying the music and vibe. Great time for sure.
