This 5 star rating is only rated on their Tacos al Pastor, which are amazing. This is a hole in the wall restaurant, which primarily only takes cash and is very informal, as it is just a few tables with chairs cafeteria style, but their tacos al pastor are superb. Highly recommend.

Last week I placed and order and I’m not gonna lie about it, the food is delicious buuuuuutttt, when I asked about delivery which they offer for free the lady I spoke to was like ohh it has to be a minimum of 30 dollars to deliver 3/4 miles and that all prices when up all of a sudden so to make the store short 29 dollars turned to 38 on 3 orders... I am thankful for people like that cuz they’re gonna see me buying from them once also my friend called and the same story popped up that it was too little money to deliver the order, why you offer delivery if you’re not gonna do it?DO BETTER!!

We love the tacos every time we want a quick bite lupitas in Elizabeth nj.
Let's keep it at five stars! Lupita's is deserving of these stars for a few reasons: it only has one other review, it's a mom and pop place doing great business and they have nopalitos as a side. Nopalitos as a side, now that's legit! Small clean restaurant that primarily caters to the Elizabeth area, they have a Mexican grocery store right next door, I believe they own both. They do not serve alcohol but do have an Agave wine, in a can. You can purchase beer at the store on the corner. Service was good, as expected no English spoken - revert to point and nod. Food was freshly prepared and they took the time to prepare the food. I had Barbacoa (goat) tacos that came with a side of nopalitos (cactus) hubby had a carnitas burrito, we also shared Queso with chorizo. All of it was excellent! Will definitely return!
