On top of that, the chia pudding recipe tis shop is using is something distinctly different from other chia pudding I've had. It's blue, and tastes far more awesome than normal chia pudding.I accidentally discovered this little shop while visiting a friend near Montclair. I live in NYC - caught a train to Montclair Bay St station, and wandered up the block from there looking for some treats to share with friends.Jackpot.I don't live near Montclair, and this location is not convenient to me. However, I now go out of my way to visit this shop whenever I'm passing through the nearby train line.Worth it.If you (please) bring boomchia to downtown Brooklyn, I would eat there everyday. As it stands I'll have to settle for once a week.“

“The easiest place to eat vegetarian. It’s so flavorful and everything has been 10/10. I tried their cashew ricotta and pear with honey drizzle, amazing. Their lentil soup; amazing. Their cauliflower stew, so good. Everything is amazing here. If you’re looking for a switch up on your diet, I can’t think of a better place. “Perfect start to the day! We stayed here 4 or 5 times during our week in NY for breakfast. We tested porridge, acai bowls and smoothies. The "Hell's Kitchen Sink" tastes awesome (with peanut butter and cocoa nips.) The smoothies Boo Berry, Gymbuddy and Energy Boost are each made with almond or coconut milk and protein powder .We loved everything! The service is very friendly and There are only a few seats, so we were there early (about 8 / 9h) and had no problems getting a small table.Now we are back home and miss the delicious bowls!“

“As someone stuck at home battling COVID and its symptoms, a smoothie from Playa Bowls was a bright spot in my otherwise lousy day. Full of flavor, Playa Bowls has a nice assortment of smoothies and açaí bowls that can serve as both a sweet treat or a nutritious meal. DoorDash allowed me to order from home and get my smoothie in less than 20 minutes, which is a huge win. I'll definitely be back (hopefully in person)!“

“If you ever want a tasty snack go here. They have all types of smoothie type beverages & fruit bowls. My bowl of choice is the Nica Bowl. It's pretty much like smashed up banana on the lower half of the bowl. The rest of it is filled with slices of strawberry & banana, crunchy granola, tiny bits of chocolate chips, peanut butter & walnuts. Its a small bowl but it'll definitely hold you over til your next meal. It's so good :)“

“I have been a customer of A&A Natural Health Foods, in Midland Park, NJ for years. I have always appreciated their knowledgeable advice. I have rheumatoid arthritis in both hips and both knees. While I enjoy both places, this one definitely won on portion, which was my main complaint about the other one (too small). A very nice surprise!Order at the counter or on their self-order screen. Counter order-taker was friendly and cheerful. Food came out within 5 minutes and I sat at a table in the window. Was the only one dining-in, although they were doing a decent pick-up business.I ordered the spicy bowl and it was excellent. It comes with a generous portion of spicy tuna, spicy kani (crab stick) and spicy shrimp over rice, cucumbers, jalapeño, seaweed and tobiko.
