Update: used Dulce again for hubby's bday and given the football craze it was only fitting to do a theme cake. The cake was def a big hit, attention to detail was there, we enjoyed the cake flavors (German Chocolate w cannoli filling). As you can see I'm a repeat offender/purchaser..lol.. This is officially my bake shop for cake orders. Didn't have to worry about delivery, because Markela (owner) took it to the restaurant before the event. No stress service.

Where to begin about how great our experience was with Markela and Dulce Cakes. Planning a wedding during Covid provided enough curve balls and challenges to make anyone crazy, but Markela not only rose to each challenge, but surpassed our expectations. She delivered a product that looked amazing and tasted even better - our guests universally commented how the cake was the best tasting wedding cake they've ever eaten. As we were designing the cake, Markela suggested we include the same flowers used throughout the venue. She even offered to arrange to pick up the flowers herself the day before our wedding. We provided the contact for our florist and they communicated directly to make it a reality. On the curve balls front, we learned long after setting the date of our wedding that the NYC bike tour was going to be the same day, with street closures cutting our venue off from the rest of the city. Markela assured us this was no challenge and she'd just make sure the cake arrived prior to the roads being closed. She coordinated directly with our venue to ensure everything would be perfect without us having to lift a finger. Then the week prior to the wedding a tropical storm began forming, which turned into Hurricane Henri. The night before our wedding and wedding day were at the time the rainiest 24 hours in the history of NYC. Even this didn't phase Markela and the cake was perfect! Bottom line, if you're looking for someone to make the best tasting, best looking cake you've ever experienced, all while making it so you never have to lift a finger in the process (except to taste the samples, yum), look no further than Markela and Dulce Cakes!! We can't wait to plan our next event (hopefully, post-covid), so we can work with Markela again.

THANK YOU SO MUCHHHH Dulce for making my birthday extra special!!!!!! They did an amazing job of customizing my order to exactly what I wanted. Everyone enjoyed the cupcakes the best. They were moist and airy. I did the dessert platter. The pricing of everything was around $200 for custom order of the dessert platter, cupcake stand, cake topper, and delivery. I paid .50 extra per rice krispy treat that had "26" on it. Because I was coming from out of town they ordered the cup cake stand for me from Amazon and the cake toppers. They deliver for $50. They take Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, all of the above! Highly recommend, they go above and beyond to accommodate their customers!! Thank you again*The only provide what you order the display and set was done by me*

The absolute most beautiful and delicious cake I've ever custom ordered! I posted pictures on social media and was told by so many people they had to look twice to even realize it was a cake and not an actual shoe & box. The cannoli filling was smooth and the cake itself was just fresh and delish! Markela is beyond creative with her ideas and always the consummate professional. I will absolutely look no further the next time I'm looking to satisfy my sweet tooth!!
