Johnny Hanges is definitely the top 5 hot dog places in that area, there fries and dogs are delicious, I’ve been going there since I was a kid and I always liked it and I will definitely be going back in the future.

Purchased a cheeseburger all the way and fries with gravy to go. Cheeseburger was a mere "okay", not enough onion taste in the sauce. My fries only half filled the container and the sauce tasted canned and bland at best. Do yourself a favor or if you're in the area to go to Hot Grill in Clifton instead and be happily satisfied.

Best Hot dogs in NJ place is Spotless Clean I had the opportunity to meet the owner Great guy .Definitely a place to stop in .

It's no Hot Grill and they were much nicer than last visit but turning the lights off before they were closed was uncomfortable. The cannoli was not with the hype. I'm sticking with Hot Grill.

First time here and will be my last time. My sons cheeseburger was dry as well as the bun. He ordered the burger all the way which on their menu board underneath all the way says lettuce tomato pickles onion. He gets one with chili I question the server and he says this is what u ordered not to make a big deal we take it. I get the Italian hot dog. Dog looks like it was cooked hours ago all shriveled… food came out entirely too quick which means food was already prepared . Not a genuine Italian hotdog. Oh well. Need to go to Bloomfield Ave for my Italian hotdogs. Bye bye Johnny And Hanges??

Honestly, not sure why the reviews are so high…I have now eaten here twice and these are not great dogs. It makes me miss Merritt Canteen!
I have been going here since I was 5 i am not 17. The food just gets better and better every time i come! I always order 2 hot dogs with ketchup and the workers know I love loading up the ketchup! Its such a friendly environment and it brings me back to my childhood!!! 100000/10 recommended!

Such an excellent place! Must be supported at all costs so it does not go extinct like The Fireplace. Great hotdogs and fabulous staff. Rice pudding was also tasty! Come and enjoy! Forget McDonalds and go to Hanges!

Hard to mess up hot dogs and fries but dogs boiled well, toppings seemed fresh and fries also fresh...only complaint is cheese used was real cheese so not melted overall... but again, real cheese! Haha... will come back to try some of their other options!
