Really solid spot. Service can be a little all over the place, but the bagels are great. The BECs are a lot better than a lot of other places I've had in Bergen County.

I ordered one breakfast sandwich and one bagel with cream cheese. I asked for the bagel to be toasted and it wasn’t. I called them and they asked me to come back with my bagel that has cream cheese on it to toast it… The egg sandwich was watery and the eggs weren’t well done. so unprofessional.

I thought I would give Modern Bagel another try.Bad idea. The food experience was even worse than previous visit. I ordered an egg wrap w cheese.They never cleaned the grill before making the eggs for the sandwich I ordered. The eggs had hamburger grease and bits of burnt hamburger meat in it. It was beyond disgusting.The girl who made it was about 16 and definitely was not trained in how to prepare and -or to handle food properly. This store fails in so many ways, but they can't just keep hiring teenagers and not properly train them. They need education on how to clean the grill and utensils properly between orders. This is when people get ill from takeout. Food prep and handling are first concern for food establishments.This business only survives due to its location.There are 2 other bagel shops in Fair Lawn that are beyond superior to this less than mediocre careless shop.

So you sell me a stale bagel at 8:30 in the morning and you don't even have the decency to put a little extra ketchup on the sandwich ( barely any at all) , I wouldn't touch this place with a 10 foot pole. They obviously don't care.

Was just here picking up an order. No one looked at me behind the counter. I was just trying to pick up my sandwich and pay. Workers are rude and don’t even say hello back. They looked miserable. My sandwich was missing onions and the oil and vinegar I asked for. If I didn’t have to be at work, I would have returned it. I usually have a better experience. Not worth $10 and you can be a bit more friendly.

I don't understand negative reviews of this place. They have the best bagels anywhere, hands down. And they are always fresh, usually still warm when we get them. Only issue we have ever had is occasionally a kid who works there puts cheese on something when we don't want it. Otherwise the food is great and the people have always been super nice to us.

Used to be good but it's gone downhill. The last four times I've been in my breakfast sandwich has been made wrong. Today my order was a sausage egg and cheese on an egg everything toasted with extra cheese. Got just an egg bagel, two eggs that had shell in it (couldn't eat half the sandwich as it was crunch after crunch) no extra cheese, and a non toasted bagel, with some sort of chili pepper. Last order they got the type of cream cheese wrong and the bagel wasn't toasted. Order before that (toasted everything with butter and jelly) they didn't toast the bagel as per order, or put any jelly on it.Also the coffee is so hot you can't drink it for nearly 10 mins after ordering. Sad that a great local shop turned into a dump.
Today was last time I'll go here. The bagels are stale more often than they're fresh. The BEC I ordered had literally one piece of bacon on it. ONE PIECE! Shame on me, honestly, for not driving the extra half a mile to River road.

Delicious & reasonable food! Super clean.I have celiac disease and was just going to order a salad, surprisingly they had a gluten free bagel (which was amazing), and accommodated to cross- contamination while making my food.

Walked in this AM to get 3 bagels. Ordered them at the counter with no wait 9am on a Tuesday. Truly annoyed when I got home and opened up what I saw. What a sloppy job and at a cost too.
