I am really not sure how this place has so many good reviews because based on reviews I decided to try New Tokyo Sushi for the first time and it was a such disappointment. I've tried lots of places and this is not an actual sushi place therefore it is only for takeout. I decided to order out for Valentine's Day and when I got home and my family have tried it, we all got so bummed by the quality and they did not taste fresh. Awful! Sorry, never again:(

This is by far the most reliable take-out Sushi place, and I have been to quite a few. The put a little extra sauce and seeds on top. It's been reliably delicious! Hidden gem in a farmers market!!

For the prices, it's not bad. But I would never pay full price for their signature rolls. They're decent but most are just bland. I had miso soup which was really good. Fresh salmon roll with cream cheese was also good. Hard Rock roll was actually good and had sauce. For some reason the other two rolls I ordered had absolutely no sauce on them and no flavor, the Tango roll (had too much mango too and completely overtook the taste of everything), and the Caterpillar roll wasn't great, didn't have any sauce either. Very odd.I also had fresh salmon and eel a la carte and that was good. They were really nice though and gave me free orders of shrimp shumai and edamame, both good. Basically, the fish is fresh, but they just didn't seem to know how to make the rolls well. This was a while ago, so I'm hoping they've gotten better. Will have to try again. Super nice of them to give out free food though! Definitely worth a second chance.

Best sushi ever the quality of the fish is like no other and I've eaten sushi all over the world. Not even from fair lawn but make my way to get sushi here. Also the staff of men are amazing and super sweet

We've been going here since they opened. Our favorite sushi in Fair Lawn. Staff is friendly and they are the best bang for the buck! Love the rainbow roll! Located inside the market. Best kept secret on Broadway. After all these years still consistent!!!

The price is changes so what you see ib the menu is outdated. Not a good sushi and rolls are all dry.They made you pay cash and charged additional tax on top of the cash price. First time that i had to pay in cash and had to pay tax on tip of it.

They have a 4.9 rating for a reason?????….Mom Pop family run food with Love…we all got our spot, but give them a try, you won’t be disappointed…..bonus is they are in a fruit market, fish market as well…knock off your meal and shopping in one visit
