Just superb! The Food , The service and ambiance great . Went there twice the food just delicious was an enjoyable experience !Definitely recommend going thereGoing back soon :)
We absolutely love Sage. We do a lot of take out. The short ribs with rigatoni and ricotta is absolutely delicious. My husband is a chicken parm person and enjoys that every time. The salmon dishes are very good as well as the shrimp. The fried calamari with the ti sauce is not to be missed. We've held graduation from college party at Sage and food always a hit. The gentlemen at the front has been there for years may be owner super nice man and always pleasant.

We were there for an engagement party. The food and service was very good.Parking: 30-50 parking spaces
Came here for a birthday. We had a party of seven and they were able to accommodate us at a nice long table. The place doesn't look much like it from the outside but it's nice in the inside and more spacious than it appears. Service was good but a little slow. They also didn't pour the wine for us which I don't like. We had the Thai calamari, which was really good. Then we had the burrata appetizer, which was very small and not as creamy as I normally like burrata. I had one of the chicken specials and it was really good then had chocolate lava cake. It was just all right. It wasn't warm. I would go back and give it another try if I was in the area area.

Great food and service, BYOB was fun for family to bring homemade wine :)
Salty calamari, the Tuscan Ragu tasted like very cheap jared sauce, and spotty service. They told us that our steak, which was low quality, came with truffle fries, but when it arrived with roasted potatoes, the server said, "oh that was for the other steak dish that you didn't order." He did not offer to fix his mistake, instead asked if we wanted to order it as a side. No thank you. We spent $200 including tip and left hungry with only our kids' food wrapped up. We ate the apps, but they were meh. Later that night our tummies were hurting, so we very thankful we didn't eat more of the the food. The server took our entries away almost untouched and never asked us how it was or called over a manager. I'm surprised this place is in business. They need to lower their prices considerably to match the quality of the food. I should have known something was up with this place when a recent review said it was "nestled on a quiet street". That couldn't be farther from the truth.

Sage Restaurant: A Taste of American-Italian Comfort in Fair LawnNestled on a quiet street in Fair Lawn, NJ, Sage Restaurant offers a charming and inviting escape from the ordinary. This American-Italian eatery has become a local favorite for its delicious food, warm atmosphere, and friendly service. The moment you step inside, the aroma of fresh herbs and garlic fills the air, setting the mood for a delightful dining experience. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting, with exposed brick walls, cozy lighting, and comfortable seating. The menu features a tempting array of classic American and Italian dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. From hearty pasta plates and succulent steaks to flavorful seafood and creative vegetarian options, there's something to please every palate. My personal favorite is the Sage's Signature Spaghetti and Meatballs. The pasta is cooked al dente, and the sauce is rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness and acidity. The homemade meatballs are tender and bursting with savory goodness. If you're in the mood for something a little lighter, the Grilled Chicken Salad is a great option. The chicken is cooked to perfection and served atop a bed of fresh greens with a variety of toppings. No meal at Sage Restaurant is complete without dessert. We shared the Warm Apple Crisp, a traditional comfort food that was cooked to golden perfection. The apples were soft and gooey, and the cinnamon crumble topping added a satisfying crunch. The service at Sage Restaurant is just as impressive as the food. The staff is friendly and attentive, always willing to answer questions and offer recommendations. They make you feel welcome and ensure that you have a pleasant dining experience. Here are some of the highlights of Sage Restaurant:Warm and inviting atmosphereDelicious and well-prepared foodGenerous portionsFriendly and attentive serviceReasonable pricesWhether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two, a casual gathering with friends, or a delicious family meal, Sage Restaurant is sure to please. With its charming atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service, it's no wonder why this restaurant has become a beloved fixture in the Fair Lawn community.Overall, I highly recommend Sage Restaurant for anyone seeking a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.
