First off the packaging you can barely see the gluten free lettering. My family didn’t even want gluten free and purchased two muffin packages of yours, blueberry and chocolate chip. Both are as hard as hockey pucks even after microwaving for a bit. There’s no expiration date to be found at all. These are inedible. The sticker form wegmans simply says 1 at top with a purple bakery line in the middle and a 4 at the bottom.

I only gave 1 star because I couldn't write this review giving no stars. I bought an apple turnover that was in my opinion not edible. Tasted sour and a turnover is supposed to be flaky this was flat and pastey. Not flaky at all. Seems like it didn't rise, just nasty and gross. I assume this was a mistake on that batch. It should have never been shipped out. For this unacceptable mistake I give a negative 5 stars. Sending out bad products is never acceptable. If I ran my business that way I would be out of business.

I just heard about you for the first time when I saw that the University I work at carries your desserts. I had the brownie and OH MY GOD. It was soooooooo good. I'm so happy to know I can get such amazing GF products at work. Thank you!!

So the story if you don't read it on their website is summed up a little like this - a father of a child diagnosed Celiac gets together with another friend in the quest for good gluten free treats, they then recruit two CIA trained chefs (one executive and one pastry chef) and start cranking out awesome gluten free baked goods. To go a little further, I go to an event a few weeks ago where their cookies are the main dessert and see gluten free and the little one and I do a happy dance. I skeptically open the wrapper and taste one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had in a long time. I then proceed to order just about everything they will ship. I do have to say that gluten free is going to be different for anyone who isn't used to it but this comes almost perfectly close to a regular cookie without having a million ingredients in it that you can't pronounce. Absolutely amazing. They're so good that my gluten loving brothers have been stealing all my cookies. Did Oprah name this the best gluten free chocolate chip cookie? Yes. Do I usually listen to Oprah? Debatable...but she did also rate the chocolate cake at The Chocolate Room as the best and she was right on about that. Generally gluten free cookies are either chewy because of date paste (in excess) or they are super thin and crunchy and lack those comforting flavors that you look for. This cookie has an amazing height, a super buttery taste and is loaded with chocolate chips. I also ordered the midnight double chocolate cookie and in general I turn my nose up at white chocolate chips but this reminded me of my favorite cookies I used to get at the mall when I was little. Again, buttery and delicious with the right amount of sweetness, not overboard at all - not even with the small amount of white chocolate. The oatmeal plus is another amazing cookie. I happen to love oatmeal cookies and it's one of the only things that I will bake gluten free myself because I don't trust anywhere else but these are awesome! The cranberries, and again with the aid of a few white chocolate chips (literally), are the perfect balance and make for an absolutely delightfully chewy oatmeal cookie. Super huge bonus - every one of my family members and the little one hate raisins so the cranberries are a very welcome change. The butterscotch walnut sugar cookie is amazing! I kind of wanted to do incredibly unhealthy things with it upon the first taste and sent some to a gluten free girlie friend and she said the same thing - divine. It's the perfect hit of sweet and salt. The brownies are a little more on the cakey side but I totally don't mind because again the flavor is perfect, chocolatey, not too sweet and a great texture. Mom and I both thought the same thing on the first taste - perfect vehicle for brownie sundaes. They also sell granola (which I didnt get this time but might have to soon) and breads (I suppose in the area, not for shipment) and the online ordering was super easy and fast. The super important thing is that they're so serious about being gluten free that celiacs everywhere can rejoice. Their facility was set up with all new equipment - no bread oven from another bakery or anything like that. They test their foods to a sensitivity that not even other brands (or probably bakeries) do and do not allow anything with gluten in the facility, because in case you didn't know cross contamination is so easy (Babycakes I'm looking at you). This was truly a find and a treat and I now have boxes and boxes of cookies that I thought were gonna last for a while but at the rate that everyone is eating them I'd be surprised if they last even two more weeks. Gluten free brownie sundae here we come!

I am so surprised that there aren't any reviews for Get Fresh Bakehouse on here! This place makes delicious gluten free cookies that don't taste like anything but delicious delicious cookies. I have purchased the oatmeal & chocolate chip. They were so good & a big hit with both the glutenous and gluten free crowds. They are located in an odd industrial park area, but you can find their products in other locations as well. They won the best GF chocolate chip cookie award from Oprah! & from me too:)
