Very good food ! I was confused of what kinda of restaurant it is .. I didn't get the theme. But our waiter was amazing very personable and willing to make our experience the best!! I'm not in NJ often but when I am this is always going to be a good choice to eat at!!

Fantastic food, friendly service, and nice atmosphere! We had the thick-cut bacon, Thai chili shrimp, cream of lobster soup, 292 burger, and shrimp Santorini! Everything was delicious and the portions were so large we had to take half our dinner home!Side note: the Mac and cheese (for my toddler) was very yummy and the cornbread they serve was ???Kid-friendliness: They had the best Mac and cheese!! My husband and I snuck a few bites from our daughter’s dish.

This is a gem of a place! Went there on a rainy Saturday night, where the power went out for a few minutes, and this place didn’t miss a beat! Food was good , service was beyond great, and good time had….will definitely be returning!

There is something about this place that is so cozy and welcoming. The entrance looks big because of their stairs but it really is a quaint and humble place. Lots of wooden features, which I appreciated. Their bar area has a few high tops and fun signs on the walls. The food was good. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The Calamari was great! I recommend this place for families with little ones or friends just looking to stop by for drinks and apps.Kid-friendliness: Great place for families with little ones!

On Friday 1/12/24 @ 7:00pm, went to Tavern 292 along with two of my girlfriends.. The waitress Valerie was Terrible she was Rude and Very Unprofessional. Valerie Never once asked Us if our cocktails or food was good..She total ignored Us and we had more interaction with the young man who would bring our food..The food was cold and We had to send it back Valerie was nowhere to be found both times..My girlfriends and I asked Valerie for the check finally when she came to the table across from us..I decided to go speak to the Manager Helen and express our Disappointment of the Service in which Valerie didn’t provide to Us and Psy the bill.We Definitely will Not be going back to Tavern 292 to Eat or have cocktails..Helen the Manager Apologized but Unfortunately it won’t change the fact that I will not be referring or go back to Tavern 292 on Passaic Avenue.My experience @ Tavern 292 was Very Disappointing!R.Joseph

Honestly, this place gets a two star only because it is nice inside and the waitress was kind. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t pleasant at all. I asked for my burger to be medium and it came back very rare. I let the waitress know and she took it back and brought the same burger back but on a different bun. However, it was still on the rare side. It wasn’t even edible. On top of that, the ribs were super dry and bones were in every part of the meat.

Food was very good, had special Zuppa Di Pesce, fresh seafood, portion not large but enough, priced reasonable. House wine was good.
Great service with decent food, we’ve been a few times as it is predictable and easy for us with kids. The burgers are my go-to, though they can be greasy. Dessert is always great here and the wait staff are incredibly friendly.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kids in a decently loud environment so they can blend in!
