Great experience. Came around 9am on a Sunday and we were seated right away. The server was fast and attentive. I ordered Eggs Benedict with home fries well done and my husband had the Grand Slam. It was probably one of the best eggs Benedict I've had. My husban enjoyed his meal as well. The portions were huge and we were really happy with everything. Definitely arrive on the earlier end- it filled up quite fast by the time we were leaving. Would definitely come back!Parking: Plenty of parking.

so I get food from here often. The one negative thing I have to say is I once ordered a buffalo chicken quesadilla for takeout. There was no cheese in the quesadilla, came with cheese on the side. By definition a quesadilla has cheese in it.. it holds the whole thing together. I get it and it’s falling apart, nothing to hold it together. I know it states on the menu it’s on the side but it’s truly a menu flaw and I think they need to change it. Not only does nobody want to eat a tortilla with just chicken & tomatoes but it is also so unpractical and falls apart completely.

First time here. Clean and classic diner - friendly staff. I came on a Saturday morning and got seated pretty quickly. Coffee was actually good and I had breakfast sliders - deft recommend

Easily the best diner I've been to in a long time. Top 3 diners ever for sure. Every part of it was really remarkably great. The place was packed, but the waiting was organized and not more than a few minutes. The menu is enormous, with lots of really interesting and different choices. Our server was friendly and efficient, and came back to check on us regularly, we never needed to look for her. The food came out quickly, and when it did, it was as close to perfect as you can get. We had the Jack & Bean burger and the Sinatra sandwich, both with french fries. The black bean burger was flavorful and cooked exactly right, the roll was perfectly grilled, and the sauce (served on the side) was delicious. The Sinatra has a lot of parts (fried chicken cutlet, prosciutto, arugula, fresh mozzarella, and a balsamic dipping sauce) which were each delicious and came together for a really special sandwich. And the fries were perfect! All the people we interacted with were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the food was exceptional. We will be back very soon!

Excellent food, friendly staff and service. Every time. We had the salmon wrap, eggplant parmigiana and chicken pesto panini. Both excellent and tasty. The split pea soup was delicious. So definitely recommended, and worth the trip ??

The west Essex Diner is by far the BESTEST Diner we’ve ever dined at!It’s really nice, clean, spacious, with an overall modern vibe.The waiter was sooo nice, friendly, and accommodating.The portions are huge and priced very fairly.There’s plenty of parking right outside.All around an amazing experience, will definitely return!

This diner really has anything you could possibly want. The interior looks really modern and nice. Our waiter was quick to come around and kept up with us frequently. The food all came out fresh, hot, and great! Pictured are the stuffed mushrooms, the knight sandwich and the New Yorker. Both were really good! The waffle fries were the better of the two in my opinion. I would definitely return when I'm back in the area!

This place used to be horrible, then Covid hit! It came to the point that after the shut down they were allowed to open outdoor dining and they got incredible! Not sure why, but food got better and so did service! The food is great! Lunch specials are a great value for the portion size and rather delish! My only complaint is that they offer a lot of chicken and I’m not a fan of chicken! Highly recommend! The western omelet is delicious! So flavorful!
I have been going to this diner for almost a year. I live about 15 miles away and in the beginning the service was great. Yet, over the remainder of this past year the service has declined, the staff are mean and unprofessional, management is weak and not attentive. They also have not been really following CDC guidelines with social distancing etc. during the pandemic. Today, I went their for pick up order and once again the order was wrong. My last time "eating" there was today. I will take my hard earned dollars elsewhere. They don't value customers here esp. customer of color such as myself! #racist #shameful

Great service and a large menu to choose from. A large menu can sometimes mean below-average food but not here. I had the spinach pie that comes with your choice of soup and a large Greek salad. I was not a fan of their Lobster bisk soup but their spinach pie and grape leaves were excellent. Our server was quick and attentive all four of us were very happy with the food.
