Different flavors, different techniques and some Asian fusion aspects that pair so perfectly well with the classic American style fried chicken. The fact that it is located a few blocks from my house also encouraged me to try it.Rokstar Chicken Harlem is located on the second floor of the building. The space is also shared by the Food Bizarre but you can’t miss Rokstar. You have to place your order on the screen that is located at the counter.I order a medium order of chicken wings, which brings 10 wings, with Korean Sweet Chili. My order took about 15 minutes. If the wait is something you would like to avoid, you can order on their website ahead of time.They have three tables along the wall for you to eat your meal, which I should have done because I felt my wings weren’t as hot as they should be (I walked home which took about 8 minutes).I definitely recommend these wings with the same sauce I ordered. “The closest thing to Nashville Hot Chicken that I’ve had outside of Nashville. I ordered 3 “hot” tenders and mac & cheese. I could only finish 2 tenders — they’re huge! I was pleasantly surprised with the mac & cheese as a lot of places make it pretty bland, but this one was decent. For me, the “hot” was pretty spicy and any spicier would be too much for me. I will say that the breading on the tenders is a *tad* thick. I think if they coat the chicken a bit thinner, it would be better. Still enjoyed it though and will be back for sure.“

“This is my go to (and my son’s) all the time. My absolute favorite are the shrimp buns. My son gets the shrimp buns and the beef bulgogi is his main course. I sometime splurge and get the 3+2 garlic and soy sauce flavored wings and drumsticks. What I love is both freshness, taste and consistency. It’s a husband and wife small business so also love being able to help our local economy. It sure helps they’re so pleasant. “I have been buying chicken pound and always spend over $100 on my orders but they do not care about its customers the last several orders has had damaged leaking packages or delays on delivery because they ship it UPS ground which can take 3-5 working days. The last order took 7 days before it was delivered and several packages were defrosted, warm, and possibly spoiled.I placed an order on 01/09/2024 in the morning and did not ship until the night of 01/16/2024 and is not expected to be delivered until 01/22/2024 and chicken pound is trying to fix the problems and issues with shipping. So we will see. I changed my prior review because I do enjoy the flavors ( cilantro-lime, BBQ, teriyaki, jerk, and balsamic) and the convenience of chicken pound.“
