I feel sad writing this review. We’ve been going to this location and the original location for over 5 years now, before #2 even existed. We supported this business through the pandemic in little outdoor tents. We celebrated birthdays and affectionately referred to one of the servers as grandma. But last night was a totally different experience. Our server was condescending, openly judging us for ordering 4 orders of rice cakes for 5 people (“you know that has x pieces, right?” she said). We spent just under an hour there and they changed out the cooking surface and she just brought us the check. She didn’t ask if we were done.We weren’t done. Most of us hadn’t eaten most of the day in anticipation. We weren’t overeating. We ate at a steady pace. So when we said something she quoted the menu warning us we would be charged if we didn’t finish the food.So first you indirectly call us fat and then you are rude? We ordered a few things and noticeably got less than a regular portion. After feeling shamed we paid and left. I honestly don’t know if I want to come back here. It used to be so much fun and we were treated like family.

Got kicked out and hour early on a Saturday night.. rude they stopped giving us brisket and made us put in last call at 11. They also raised theyr prices to 37. This place use to be great now it’s terrible.

Definitely recommend, food is cooked right infront of you at your table, every meal is fresh off the grill and hot, you dont have to worry about your food sitting & getting cold somewhere or left under a heat lamp drying out. The hanging tender steak was the best steak I had here, also had pork belly pieces & marinated chicken, everything was good.

Low quality meat and poor favors. Was ready to leave after 10 minutes and wish had tried something else instead. Not worth the price.

DISCLOSURE - Look at my past reviews and it's rare that I have to rate a restaurant 1 or 2 stars. You have to be real bad to get such a rating from me. We've been to both CIP 1 and 2 over the years MANY times. We've been choosing #2 over #1 just because it's easier to get a table and that it is newer but the last 3 times the service has been pretty bad - actually this last time was atrocious and the reason why we will not go back. Our server - Mikyung was like from another planet. We asked for Hot Tea or Hot water - None available. What kind of Asian restaurant doesn't serve hot drinks???? Ask for beer and soda - it's served in 30 seconds (because they get paid for that). The first time coming to our table of 6, she tried to serve us a big plate of Thin Brisket. We did not order this ( this stuff is "cheap" fatty meat). We asked for other items that we liked (and normally more expensive meat) and that was served but in much smaller amount. When we asked for more refills on the small amount of side dishes (salad and Jap Chae) - she told us no more. More veggies? Well each time, it gets less and less. We have 6 adults and the amount wouldn't even satisfy 2. The next time we asked for more meat, the server said that we need to finish up the prior items completely before she would get the new stuff. That was the first time ever any server asked us such a direct question like that (even though we were just about done with the first course). After that things went downhill from there. Each time we asked for more items, she would treat us as if she was doing us a favor and like we were asking too much. The 2nd round of food, we asked for chicken and other meat items. She brought us 2 large servings of Chicken (even though we asked for 1). Now we get the grand scheme.... They try to fill us up with the cheap food so they don't have to give us the more expensive beef items. The server comes around often to adjust the flame with the stove knob. Instead of using her hands, she uses the same tongs that is used to serve us food. Those tongs are also used to serve other tables and customers. When we complained, she smiled and gets a new tong for us - but that should have never happened. After the 2nd course, she asks us if we want the dirty/burnt cast iron pot changed and if so, we need to clear/eat up the remaining food on the pot. She should have offered to do it for us instead of "directing us" as if we were doing her a favor type of attitude. When the chunks of meat were cut too large, I asked for a scissor so I can cut myself (I actually prefer to do my own cooking and serving). She gave it to me and when I started to cut it, she immediately took it away and said I'm doing it wrong. I'm the one eating it - they should be happy to let me do it my way (small bite sized portions). It's hard to explain entirely the attitude shown to us during the entire meal that we experienced but to get this level of service for the price we paid (around $300), I expect MUCH better and not as if we were 2nd class citizens. At K-BBQ, we usually tip 25% and up because the amount of work involved - but this is the first time I had a hard time justifying even 15%. We eat at O2 BBQ close by which is about the same price but FAR more choices and excellent service but try to spread the business around. No more. There's a big reason why CIP #2 has always less customers than #1 (even though the first is a bit older and not as modern looking). In the end, we ended up eating much less than we normally eat (and that is not a lot to begin with). That's because of the horrible experiences - and 3 times in a row. 3 times at bat and now we are OUT.

I wanted to try here because of the special iron pot. But I'm disappointed with the food. The options are limited and the meat quality is not that great. The side dishes are ok, not that delicious. They cooked for us, but not sure if it's still empty when we dined in and I feel the waitress was supervising us. For the price, it's not worth it.

PROS: This place was one of the better Korean BBQ locations I've been to. More spacious , nice staff, decent prices, and good food. The person helps you cook the food. CONS: Very bad location, right on a busy road with a tiny parking lot that forces you to do vallet OVERALL: I would suggest coming here, but just park on a side street instead

Great experience, valet parking, very efficient, delicious food, service was great but wished if they spoke more English to better explain the dishes. Overall great, would come again

The meats were pretty flavorful; however, I think the restaurant should train their employees on food safety. First, the waitress that was cooking our food, use the SAME tong to cook our food, cook the food next to our table and the same tong to reach and turn the knob of the bbq grill instead of using her hands to turn the knob. I don't think that is sanitary, they should use separate tongs for each table. Once she finished cooking the meats, she pour the raw chicken with the juices falling down to the cooked beef. How do you expect people to eat the cooked beef when there is raw chicken juice flying down to the cooked food!! Salmonella :/

Cast Iron pot is a great Ayce KBBQ chain in the NYC and NJ! I tried the one in Flushing, and after a day trip in NJ, we stumbled upon this one in New Jersey. This one had spots when we called, so we chose this cast iron over the other one down the street. Some tips and notes: 1. You can ask for lettuce if you want a lettuce wrap - great way to avoid filling yourself up with rice. It isn't on the menu, but we realized this a little too late. 2. They give complimentary bottled water. 3. There is galbi on the menu - just double check with the waitress and waiter. 4. Come hungry and pace yourself. Overeating can leave you not feeling well the next day. We ended our meal with some melona bars which totally hit the spot. I would suggest walking up to ice cream freezer near the counter/door to get a full look at all the available flavors.

The place is so toxic and chaotic, don't waste your money! we will not come again, the food is not good, there are better restaurants nearby with the same price. The service is garbage and rude. And the aunt who cooked for us is so pushy. She does not know English, and gave us the brisket beef directly even we didn't order it. She asked us to order 3 meats at once even tho we only wanted 2, kept repeating words even I told her I don't wanna more. I asked for small portion she didn't wanna give us either, and she just went away. Once we wanted to check, she was prompt to push us away in order to check how much tips we were giving.. By the way, there is a valet parking cost 3-5 dollars tip.

I went yesterday with my girlfriend. Amazing experience and the dinner was cooked properly. I was expecting to do the cooking but the waitress offered to do so because they didn’t have anything to do besides stand and stare. Upon leaving the restaurant, I paid for the food but decided to leave out the tip but the waitress insisted that I leave a tip anyway because she cooked our meal. She didn’t have to anyway. Check it out. It’s a great experience and you’ll be full and pregnant when you leave.

First and last time going there. The waitress was so rude, she laughed at our face I don’t know why, and then forced us to give her a tip. There’s many places you can go and enjoy good service, but definitely this restaurant is not one of those.

We wanted to go to dejissonday but it was disappointingly closed at 1030pm on a Sunday... We went to the closest thing that was open. But when we walked in every table was occupied but one, and all the servers looked at us a bit surprised-- we were the only Asian patrons. So naturally, I was terrified.... but also extremely hungry.... We sat down and talked with our friendly Korean waiter; she informed us that 99% of their patrons are non Asians everyday and seeing us was a bit surprising hahah This place is all you can eat, but we weren't that hungry so we just ordered pork belly and chadohlbaegi. It was the perfect amount of food with a Korean coleslaw, two bean paste stews and two bowls of rice for less than $35 pp. Overall, the food was okay And we wouldn't go back unless we had no other choice for a Korean BBQ craving.
